Mia is in a tough spot financially, she needs money and a lot of it so she decides to auction off her virginity with the help of her best friend Heath who will to do the vetting of the prospective candidates.
I love Mia she's funny, supportive, determined but she's closed herself off to men because of her father the sperm donor. She's a geek in the truest sense of the word, a gaming fanatic who writes on her blog, she has formed friendships through her online gaming.
Adam is the 'winner' of the auction from their first meeting something felt off with him not in a creepy serial killer way but it felt like he knew more than he was saying. He's a hard guy to get to know, he's very analytical and doesn't let anything slip about who he really is underneath the successful businessman facade.
The chemistry between the two of them is off the charts and slowly things change for both of them. There are so many questions will she really go through with it, what is Adam hiding, can they ever be more? I can't wait to see where the next book goes.

I figured out quite a few things before Mia did, just cause she wanted to keep everything separate. It was obvious to me that Adam knew more about her than she realised and it didn't take me long to piece things together. I loved Adam. Mia, I wanted to shake violently at times for being so pig headed.
I'm happy that they got a HFN, though I didn't realise their story continued in two other books when I started this. I would like to continue the series.
At any price is book #1 Gaming The System series.
I grabbed this book as an amazon freebie.
OK so now I’ve finished this book my first reaction is….. God why didn’t they just have sex sooner!!!!
The premise for this book is great and after reading the first few chapters I was loving the situation and tension of who the bidder was.
But then it all went a bit downhill from then!
This should have been a hit it and quit it scenario but god it just dragged on and on and I got to the point where I just didn’t care if they had sex I just wanted it over!!
I didn’t really like either Adam or Mia, and at times this felt like a self-help guide rather than a romance.
I guessed really early on who Adam was so I was just waiting for it to be revealed.
This could have been great, but for me it fell short.
For any price gets 2.5 stars from me.
protective and an alpha male . This is a good read and I definitely recommend it to my friends .

It was okay. There were some good moments but it was spoilt due to dragging out the inevitable. After 65% I had to fight to keep going; it was soooo slooow. Read more
