Perfect for driving two HD monitors
I don't play demanding games but I do love having side by side full HD monitors, 23" and 22" LG panels. Windows 10 handles them beautifully but my Dell PC only has one HDMA and one VGA video output. I was getting really fed up with the quality of images on the monitor fed via VGA - changes of shading were really crude. I found that VGA is limited to 256,000 colours. It sounds like a lot but produces very crude effects, eg shading on skin or fabrics. HDMI and DVI video outputs work with over 16 million colours. Once I'd fitted the GT 710 and installed its driver from the supplied CD the improvement on the 2nd monitor was quite dramatic. It's a bit odd that so many graphics cards bother with VGA at all - surely a 2nd HDMI would be more useful? I'm using HDMI for one monitor and DVI-D for the other now. Good thing I haven't got a 3rd monitor.I'm not sure yet if the new (and silent) graphics card speeds anything up. I tried rendering a 138Mb MOV HD video clip to mp4 from Sony Vegas v10 and it seemed quicker - 3 mins 45 to create the 118Mb output file. I should have tried it before I fitted the graphics card. But it has done what I wanted - greatly improved the quality of images on my second monitor and has done so with little cost (even though I went for the 2Gb version). It's also a big advantage that its power consumption is only 19W max and I guess that's only when playing videos.

I bought this to replace the ATI Radeon X1300 graphics in my elderly Dell desktop which had issues with Windows 10. ATI/AMD do not provide a Windows 10 driver for that card and some dialog boxes were garbled. I needed a card which was compatible with Windows XP as well as 10 as it's a dual-boot machine. This one seemed to fit the bill at a good price. I am not a gamer so I'm not interested in gaming performance. The card installed easily (though note that the heatsink is quite deep so be sure there's enough room in your system) and I soon had everything up and running under Windows 10. Performance seems smooth both with normal graphics and with videos. Asus does not supply a Windows XP driver but I was able to find one on the nVidia web site and again, this installed without difficulty. There are various software extras which I haven't explored as they are concerned mostly with gaming. Note that by default the installation disk will install Google Chrome and the Google Toolbar so make sure you uncheck the boxes if you don't want those. All in all a satisfactory performer and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a card that's compatible with Windows 10 as well as older versions.

Bought to improve speeds and workflow in Premiere Pro and After Effects. To enable the card in these programs (since it's not officially "supported"), you have to add a .txt file to the Program folder. Google "cuda graphics card premiere pro" and you can find the info you need.

It seems to have added a bit of punch to the rendering times, both while editing and exporting.

It also has dramatically increased my frame rate in video games. In CS:GO on fairly good settings, 720p, I'd get about 60-80 frames. In browser and older games from the early 2000s, it's superb at the very highest settings.

Good purchase if you're cheap and don't really care about video games that much, but need a little help over the finish line to make things run smoothly.

I'm going for neutral because this card is supposed to be amazing for the price, however, if it was for my own machine it probably would be. My husband's, however, doesn't have the shorter variation of mother board slot. It's a good centimeter or two shorter than the slot on the gtx 970 do make sure your mother board has both variations before buying this as a back up plan.
Really nice packaging, really good looking card. Just wasn't the right card to solve or problem.

What an amazing GPU this is.It was so cheap so i wasnt expecting much but what i got was a lot diffrent.it has 2gb Vram Which basicly means you have got 2gb's to be shared out. With your HDMI 2.0 port which yes means it can cope with a 4K monitor/tv at 30fps but if you tweak it you can get 60fps.1 VGA which can cope with 1080p at 30fps.1 dvi which can cope with 2k 30fps.so in this gpu you have the best of all worlds.1080p no sound via VGA,2k via DVI with sound and HDMI with 4k at 30fps with 5.1 sound if setup correctly.so my socks were blown off when i plumed it into my msi motherboard with 4gb ram,240gb sandisk ssd ultra II and a 3ghz core 2 duo.the monitor i was using was a 1080p 23" toshiba monitor.so if your a budding gamer this gpu is what you need to get you started.this also can be overclocked as standard with the free asus gpu tweak II.so this gpu certianly stood up to my expectations and blew them away.this GPU is a must have an any Low/mid end gaming pc or just work computer.it can easily cope with 3 1080p monitors running 2 at 60fps and one at 30fps.Amazing gpu for any computer tower.Always had no problem with asus products.so i would highly recommend this to anyone.

I didn't realise when i bought it that the card would come ready to install in a full size case and it was only after sitting and scratching my head for a while that I twigged .... the end plate of the card comes apart into 2 pieces. The larger part of the 2 pieces fits nicely into the slot but the other piece needs an adaptor end plate to connect to so that it can be used. I didn't see this in the paperwork that came with the card either (might be there alright but I didn't see it) - it was head scratching and a little more online searching that gave the game away. I did then have to buy the adaptor plate i needed which was a bit of a nuisance. Card is in now and works a treat. I specifically wanted the card to be able to work from 2 monitors and i cant fault. Seamless operation and the configuration side of the install was a doddle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Staffa lunghezza standard, non richiede alimentazione separata, ok Linux, regge tre monitorr
Reviewed in Italy on 5 June 2019

5.0 out of 5 stars Très bonne carte graphique 2D
Reviewed in France on 21 November 2018

5.0 out of 5 stars Gut zum wiederbeleben älter Rechner
Reviewed in Germany on 17 October 2019

5.0 out of 5 stars Très bonne "petite" carte graphique
Reviewed in France on 23 December 2018
