Works well with the new Macbook

Just took delivery of this monitor today. Was very quick and easy to set-up; the power cord is comprised of a small ac adapter and power cord, and the cables are long enough to cater for far reaching plugs. Attaching the monitor to the bezel was also hassle and tool-free, requiring me to simply turn a screw (fingers can be used as it has a metal clasp) to secure the monitor and base together. A variety of plugs for different countries are included, as well as a HDMI to VGA cable and 3.5mm headphone jack cable.

There are lots of colour options and display settings to choose from. The monitor itself is built to a high finish and aesthetically pleasing. I have it connected to my 2015 Macbook, and it has scaled very well. Highly recommended if you are looking for an external display for your Macbook which has good colour reproduction and will look nice in your home study. 5/5

Attractive, good quality monitor although sound nothing special

Good looking monitor, tiny bezel and nice stand. The several buttons for adjusting picture quality, volume and so on are under the front. They're sort of touch sensitive and work fine once you get used to them.

Picture quality is pretty good. I was coming from another LED monitor and perhaps expected too much of an improvement in quality. Nothing wrong with the picture at all, it's just that to my untrained eye it's no better than the smaller LED monitor that it replaced. If you're going from non-LED LCD to LED, that is a night-and-day improvement.

I was quite attracted to this monitor by the quality of reasonable quality built-in speakers, which bear the Bang & Olufsen logo, but I have to say this was quite disappointing. I feel the quality is no better than any other tiny built-in speakers you'd find on a TV or monitor. Clear enough, just no bass and quite tinny. I wasn't really expecting much from the audio quality so I wasn't too disappointed to be honest.

Connections were another selling point for me. Two HDMI ports has allowed me to plug in my PlayStation 4 and Mac Mini, plus I have my headphones permanently plugged into the monitor's headphone jack around the back, so that's useful too.

All in all, a very smart monitor, perfectly fine picture, good connections at a reasonable price, but don't spring for it thinking you can save yourself some money on speakers at the same time if audio quality is a priority.

I did a lot of research to find a monitor to edit my photos on. This one had the best reviews and did not disappoint.
Beautifully large clear screen with no dead or stuck pixels as yet. Asus guarantee against them for a week (will replace) and then after that they will repair or replace with a factory recon unit up to three years.
As to the 'over sensitive buttons' they are not buttons, I have the same on my new tumble dryer. Treat them like your phone touch screen, they don't 'press down' rather, they respond to touch. If you play with them for a few minutes, you will get the hang of them. make sure you don't set to smart screen or eco etc as the screen will automatically dim itself and you'll be wondering why it doesn't look great anymore ;) I have set it to srgb and it looks great. I may calibrate it when I have another £100 to spare but for now, it looks fine. Editing is a dream as it's a big screen and I havn't noticed any glare or reflections either.
In the settings I set the volume higher, I don't know if that actually makes a difference but my distortion of c.d playblack seems to be limited to just one of my cds at a high level. I love the sound on it, best one I've heard on a monitor. I don't use the volume up or down on the bottom either, I just use the volume control of my pooter/onscreen.
It's well packed and easy to assemble. You don't even need a screwdriver! which I love. Make sure you pop a pillow into the box and put the monitor on top of that to protect the screen when you are fitting it. Once you have put it together, the angle looks a bit odd, don't pull at the bottom of the screen, but stand it up and then tilt it by gently pulling the top to the correct angle.

I can't really fault this screen, hope that continues :)
I ordered two things on amazon at the same time, and somehow it grouped them together as I ordered though 1 click ordering. I had chosen fast del on the monitor but it defaulted to only 1st class del to match the 2nd item, which I didn't notice until the following day when I got conformation it they would arrive together on Monday :( Amazon were amazing at sorting it out for me, and I got it on the Saturday instead of having to wait til Monday. Superb customer care.
A great monitor and finally I have found one with all the ratings at 4 and 5 stars...which proved quite a difficulty!
I have no regrets and would highly recommend it! :) x

overall a good monitor, clean design and sleek looking, the sound is much better than many monitors that have built in speakers although considering they are 'bang and olufsen' nothing to write home about. the reason for 3 stars however, is that the monitor has a slight tilt to the left, the base is easy to fit and is secured correctly and the screw tightened, yet the tilt remains. this was mentioned in another review but i figured it was just a one off, but no. its only slight but because the bezel is super slim this accentuates the effect and is really annoying, but like the other reviewer i really need a monitor and just can't be bothered to return an item this large and the nice bright screen, good looks and decent sound 'just' about make up for it. i've put a really thin book under the left hand side of the stand. so overall good monitor but bit disappointed.

I bought this monitor a year ago today. It's been nothing but fantastic. I spent about a week reading reviews of other monitors and finding out which is the best one suited for my needs and I eventually went with this one (even though it had only about 4 reviews at the time). My primary uses for this was actually gaming with my PS3, so I needed low latency. I also use it to watch lots of films and TV shows. It has excellent quality. Because it has it's own speakers and 2 HDMI ports it is perfectly suited to switch between the PS3 and my laptop or PC.

The finish on the product is also amazing, and I am considering buying a second one so I can have a dual screen setup. Would definitely recommend.
