If you ever doubted the dedication it takes to become an astronaut, Chris Hadfield's account will give you an insight into the stream of mental, physical and social challenges it takes to be an astronaut. In a matter-of-fact manner, he relates how the lessons he learned along the way can be applied to everyday encounters and events, not only for would-be pilots and astronauts, but for anyone who wishes to live a full life.

I gave this "guide book" on CD to my mid-20s son to further expand the development of his already-capable skills to tackle difficult challenges. - GLH

I love the story, and I love that it is read by the author. He is a very good storyteller. I've heard some say they don't like it because he is narcissistic. I disagree. He is a pretty amazing fella but he appreciates the skill and personal attributes of those around him and never puts anyone down. To me those are not the characteristics of a narcissist.
