Turbonegro sound dirty. everything about them is slightly sinister.
this is a pretty short album at about 30 mins or so, but it'll leave you breathless with your head spinning. i love to play along to tis whole album with my guitar turned up, it sounds amazing.
all in all i say BUY THIS ALBUM. it truly is great.
I must say that I can honestly say that I have played this record everyday for the last 2 years!!!!! Defenitely a MUST!!!
My only comment is that behind the make up and gay sailor attire lurkes a vast wealth of musiacl talent and song writing ability. In my humble opinion the band have went onto bigger and better things with the introduction of Euroboy, on lead guitar; but this album contains some anthems that are still a staple of their live set today.
As Hank says "Denim is back again!!!!!"
do you like Cobra?
Do you like Pizza?
Do you like Norway?
Do you like Sailors?
Do you like Happy Tom?
Do you like ROCK AND ROLL?
It's the last question that's the important one. Any self respecting lover of ROCK AND ROLL just NEEDS Turbonegro in his/her/its life.
I was a pin-stripe suited sat behind a desk Accountant before I discovered Turbonegro, now I live a life of sybaritic pleasure down at Hamburg Docks, Mmmmmmmmmm Sailors. I can take them back to my little cottage where we can dress in denim and Scandinavian Leather and live the life of a DEMON for the night. One night I went home with a Chinese sailor and together we learned about democracy. It was such fun I got Election. It disturbed the family next door though, gah, I hate the Kids! Strange family, they live in a house with a big round door, they have hairy feet and I'm sure the kids get too friendly with their mother. Perhaps I'll move out into a mobile home.
So, do you buy this record? No. You go out, meet a nice sailor and get him to buy it. DO IT! NOW!!!!!
