I sent this book to my cousin in Australia who has a 10 yr old boy with Asperger's, belatedly diagnosed. The boy and his mum are reading a chapter a day. He likes it so much he reminds his mum each day. This book is helping a child who is receiving little help or understanding at school.

It is an excellent resource to support children with ASD develop social skills in the context of the classroom. Helps develop an understanding of implicit social codes and rules of social behaviour in a very clear, logical and graphic way.
I highly recommend it!

The child recognizes him-/herself in the book, is personally addressed by the book and feels she/he has found a good friend. Reading should be accompanied by an adult sometimes of often, depending on the situation or child.

This book didn't work for us I am afraid, I felt I had to pick through the books for the relevant parts for us but overall an OK book for Asperger's sufferers

This book is beautiful in its simplicity and straightforwardness, which is so key when dealing with traits of the autism spectrum. I use this book regularly with students on the spectrum, doing the tests, completing the exercises and reading together with them, while discussing the points. Brilliant book to work together with your young person on dealing with school issues. It would help if teachers also took the time to read it, so if you are a parent of a child/teen on the spectrum, consider giving it as "present" to their teacher. It may help [if they chose to read of course].
