America's Finest are in top form in our latest visit to the NYPD. Dear god, were these men real, I would have visited every Precinct in New York and hunted them down when I was there in August!

So this book is Brent and Hayden's. We've met them before; he's the loud, bad-mannered crass explosives expert and she is Story's wealthy socialite best-friend. She thinks he's a caveman, he thinks she's a spoilt princess. They absolutely love to hate each other and rub each other up the wrong way...and the right way (pun intended).

The only thing they seem to have in common is their mutual agreement that Daniel and Story's love-fest is sickening! Their bickering, insults, arguing, bitching and sniping makes for a sexy sizzling read of epic proportions and the man is as talented at creating explosions in the bedroom as he is at work. I have absolutely and unashamedly fallen hook line and sinker for him. And Hayden. What a girl, she's feisty but fun, sarcastic and sweet and I loved that she gives him a run for his money.

If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. Don't deprive yourself of a belter of a book with fabulous characters and a journey that whilst not as law-orientated as it's predecessors is just as off-the-scale sexy and quite touching too. Keep 'em coming Tessa. You write 'em, I'll always read 'em.

Tessa Bailey’s Line of Duty series had me hooked and yearning to meet her next sexy uniformed officer. After being introduced to Daniel Chase who is my favourite cop, I have also unashamedly fallen for Brent Mason due to his large arrogant and sweet hidden personality, and naughty lines that left me blushing and craving his presence throughout. I started reading this series in random order going by the blurbs that took my interest, little knowing that I would step into a goldmine discovering Tessa Bailey’s unique knack in writing one of the most steamiest romance series I have read. I have a thing for cop romances and this author just hits the mark every time, delivering the sexiest stories involving arrogant, irresistible and possessive men known to carry handcuffs to heat the pages. Brent Mayson and Hayden Winstead have nothing in common, but the link that ties them to their best friends Daniel and Story. Forced together in their friends company Brent and Hayden were unable to hold a polite conversation without sarcasm, both having misconstrued perceptions of the other, whilst Brent came off as an arrogant and rude cop, Hayden was perceived as a spoilt little rich girl sparking their disdain for each other. A drunken night changed everything as they pushed their power play into overdrive, racing to bring the other one down and not expecting the explosive passion they felt unleashed between them, stirring their emotions causing them to reach for what they deemed unattainable. I absolutely loved reading this and enjoyed seeing how Brent and Hayden’s harsh judgement of each other, drew them to experience each other’s world and showed their hidden persona’s which glowed in compassion, loyalty and responsibility as the walls of control came down and love found its way in.

Tessa Bailey is just so good at writing stories that pull you in from the first page. Both hero and heroine , Brent and Hayden , were instantly likeable and then grew on you even more. Good story, plenty of passion and some very witty banter. Standalone novel with no cliffhanger and a chance to see the characters from the previous book. Shouldn't everyone have a best friend like Story? Enjoy.

This was a great romance. So sexy and sweet, and easy and a lot of fun to read. Really enjoyed this whole opposites-attracting trope, too. Opposites in many ways but they are so made for each other. Brent's a blue-collar guy, a cop. Hayden's a wealthy heiress. She lives in Manhattan while he lives in Queens. She thinks he's rough around the edges, and he thinks she's a spoiled ice princess. This was just good stuff waiting to happen! I loved their verbal foreplay, how they needled each other, trading barbs, antagonizing each other, making me wait for that time they put that sexual chemistry to work and got down and dirty.

The sex was really hot. Nothing better than enemies becoming lovers in my book. Bickering one moment, then ripping clothes off the next. I also loved how they both wanted to be in control. Brent is definitely all male, a 6'5 'man-fortress', but he had no problem letting Hayden get her groove on and tie him down, teasing him and winding him up, making him wait for it. And I loved how Hayden would let Brent be in charge, too, enjoying when he'd grab a fistful of her hair and pull, covering her with that big, brawny body, making her say who was doing it for her, doing it to her. Him, and only him. That was a really hot scene! These two were damn good together.

Not a lot of complication in this romance. The conflict isn't major, just enough to cause a bit of friction, and I really enjoyed it for that reason. I wanted light angst, nothing upsetting, and I wanted a sweet, sexy romance with a big cop hero making his uptown girl fall hard for him. I really liked Hayden, but I loved Brent. Tessa Bailey writes a great hero: all sexy, hot alpha-male goodness balanced with a sweet, big heart. I love those men who are macho manly-men unafraid to show their vulnerable side. That's a complete man, a real man, and makes for the best hero to fall in love with. A great hero, sweet and very sexy, and romance that's just as sweet and hot.
