I liked this book and found all the characters engaging, my one and only criticism would be that everything was always resolved rather quickly, it needed just as touch more suspense but written brilliantly and I will definitely be reading the next instalment

I thought this book was great and I particularly liked the story about Asher. Boy was I wanting that boys life to come good. To say he needed a lucky break would be an understatement. Can't wait to read the other books in the Inked Brotherhood series.

First book from the Inked Brotherhood series and a really great start, can't wait to see what's coming next!

Asher will tug at your heart strings ladies, oh yes! He's all sorts of mixed up and confused and trying desperately hard to make something of himself despite his horrendous circumstances. I could have cried for this poor man. The relationship he has with Audrey is a complex one and i thoroughly enjoyed the ride.

Definately recommend and can't wait for more :)

I loved reading Asher the first from the Inked Brotherhood series. This book is definitely a little gem to be read by the amazing new author Jo Raven, one that caught my attention and wouldn't leave my side until I devoured it! I was lost to Asher and Auds from the get go lol. Asher and Audrey had been best friends since childhood, they shared a bond that seemed unbreakable destined to be together, until life decided to throw them on journeys without the other. A path for each that was paved in loss, suffering, heartache and abandonment. After sharing her first kiss with Asher, Auds is then ignored and rejected by him, leaving her confused, betrayed and heartbroken. Losing her father in a car accident at the hands of Asher's father, further sealed her hatred towards him. When Auds returns home after being away for three years, after dealing with her physical scars and losing her father, she runs into Asher, the last guy she ever wanted to see again. Their first meet had me smiling and left me nervously excited to see how they reacted to one another. As these two try to avoid each other, we get to understand why Asher initially stayed away from her and the reason behind his fighting, we see how Auds deals with his presence back in her life. I loved the relationship between Asher and Auds, it was hot, sweet and tender. This truly was a raw emotional book that had my heart aching for Asher throughout, the guy was just an amazing, strong, and beautiful character. He only had himself to depend on, and what he put himself through to survive facing adversity at each step was heart breaking and difficult to read, bringing tears to my eyes. It really gave you a perspective of the outside world.Read more ›

From the very first page I was hooked with Asher's story! Asher goes through so much emotional and mental turmoil, trying to keep himself together and at times alive. Not allowing his friends to see exactly what he's going through due to his shame. Ashers love for Audrey keeps him fighting on, determined to become worthy of her love, always feeling responsible for his Dads tragic mistake!
You'll find yourself wanting to just lock these two in a room together and demand they finally tell each other, how they really feel. Along the way you'll be introduced to many fantastic characters including Tessa and Zane.
I hope we get to see all of the fantastic characters as the series continues. I would certainly recommend this book to everyone and will definitely look for other books by Jo Raven.

This book will stay in my head for a long time. The writing is fantastic and the story...well, my heart hurt for Asher. Talk about bring out your protective instincts. First book in a series about different people from same group of friends so we are introduced to lots of people and their interactions/relationships with each other. I have already downloaded Tyler.
This really is a great read. Hot chemistry. No unnecessary angst, it was all in proportion. Loved the strong heroine, Audrey. But ultimately, Asher ....Wow!

First of all i dont normally read books that have the under twenties in, BUT i took a chance on this one as the story sounded good !! All i can say is a big ' WOW ' and im glad i 'one clicked', this book was amazing, i couldn't put it down, Asher broke my heart, i so felt for his sorrow, and heartbreak, i loved him, all he wanted was to be loved and do something with his life. Audrey was a wonderful heroine, i could feel her pain as well, and Zane well that boy truly cared for his friend, i loved this book so much i will read it again and i seriously cannot wait for the next book about Tyler. A big big WELL DONE Jo Raven x

This book was full of love and emotion. The things Asher had to endure to get through life was emotional and I couldn't put the book down, I had to know how it ended.
You could tell that Asher and Audrey were meant for each other, they just had to stop being stubborn.

Great book, onto Tyler next...
