All are told with a ready wit and some fine proper gags. I keep it by the bed and laugh myself off to sleep each night. Not surprised Hugh Dennis endorses the book on the cover as I can imagine him reading this on the radio (note to Radio 4: get him to read it for Book of the Week. Please!) My favourities are the Facebook checking burglar who left himself logged on at the crime scene, the mother and son bank robber, the student who went to rob a bank that had moved 4 years previously, but the best stupid criminal story has to be the Iranian shoplifter. Recommended. A very good gift book choice for just about anyone - from teenager to pensioner.
From morons who leave scads of personal information at the scene of their crimes, to the fact that as a resident of Maryland, I cannot bring a lion into a movie theater, this cleverly written book never fails to entertain.
It would make a splendid gift for anyone from your elderly aunt to your young nephew, and everyone in between. I highly recommend it!
