About the Author
Carl B. Brock is currently serving a seventeen-year sentence in federal prison for the distribution of the chemical substance MDMA, or ecstasy. Shortly after his incarceration, Carl began a continuous and ever-evolving study of religion, politics, language, science, music, law, and philosophy. He has since written numerous songs and poems and is currently working on several manuscripts (both fiction and nonfiction). Carl is enrolled in college and is pursuing his bachelor’s degree in business, which he plans to obtain before his release from prison.

Thoughtful essays in the life of a prisoner...
8 November 2017 - Published on Amazon.com
This was a pleasantly surprising read. I learned that the author is not only a thoughtful man, but an eloquent and succinct writer. I adored the literary quotes ahead of each chapter. I was also impressed with his observation and communication skills as a sociologist. Each chapter offers inspiration for oral discussion and self-contemplation for a variety of readers. I recommend this book to all readers without reservation.
Thought provoking looking forward to his next book!!

I very much liked the book. It is thought provoking, and applies not only to prison life but life in general. Once I started I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this book and am looking g forward to Carl's next book. Way to go Carl.
