This is a book written by a selection of the top academics in Medieval Welsh literature and it gives a fantastic analysis of various Arthurian texts from the period. It's probably most helpful for Academic use, but it makes a very good read for fun, too! I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about the Arthur of the Welsh; it really is wonderful!

Welsh Arthurian scholars at their best
on 30 November 2013 - Published on Amazon.com
I read this book as an undergraduate, and was fascinated with the breadth of knowledge each scholar imparted on their particular areas of interest. I learned alot about Arthur and Arthurian research. I read it again at the beginning of my graduate studies, and found it to be a tremendous resource for scholars, ideas, and research papers. I have returned to it again and again, for pleasure, for research, for ideas. It is a masterful work in that it took all of the contemporary experts in the field of Welsh Arthurian studies. They may eventually update the book, but everything will be modeled after the original.

Well worth reading

The Welsh version of Arthur, as opposed to the later French contamination! This is an interesting collection of scholarly articles by various authors, and is well worth reading for anyone interested in the development of the Arthurian legends.
