As well as being of interest to anyone who likes Star Wars, I would strongly recommend this book to anyone involved in or learning drawing/painting/illustration for the fields of industrial, fashion, theatre or architectural design. There are many examples of how a designers ideas have been conveyed and communicated clearly to the client (Lucas and the rest of the production team) by means of manual and hybrid digital graphics - a point largely proven by comparison with the finished film.
The book is a high quality publication. It's perfect to browse through, and to leave on the coffee table (as others will no doubt find themselves drawn to it). Overall, an impressive item.
I'd also recommend both Star Wars: The Phantom Menace - Illustrated Screenplay and The Art Of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith .
beyond the film itself, this book illustrates the complex and thorough process of ideating an screen solid fantasy that will outlive it's creators.

This book continues the artwork, sketches, and ideas for the sequel to The Phantom Menace. Attack of the Clones has some memorable art: a small group of Jedi surrounded by droids, an army of Clone Troopers, a gigantic battleship crashing back to the ground. All the things you saw on the silver screen started off with artwork like this. And this is a whole book of those conceptual ideas.
If you love Art Of books, these Star Wars Prequel Art Of books are a must to add to your collection. Recommended.
