I read the book with great fascination as I am related to the Morlands and it gives a very interesting slant on our extended family. I have also discussed it with one of his first cousins, which confirmed my impression that he was (and is) regarded as the black sheep of the family! We did wonder how he would have turned out if his dyslexia had been properly dealt with instead of being used as an excuse, and if he had been sent to Sidcot School like the rest of the Morlands! And if his artistic talents had been further developed rather than his smuggling ones!
However, I am sure that even people with no connection with no connection to the people in the book will enjoy the exciting story!
