What a useful book! So engagingly written and so chock full of grounded advice and wry humor. I’ve been savoring my solitude for years and still found loads of useful tidbits that I’m looking forward to trying out to see if I can make that experience even richer. There are loads of sound suggestions, from the pragmatics of sorting out your finances, your health, your head and your home — particularly enjoyed her delicious sounding recipes for one and some great travel tips from someone who obviously obsesses about it. Most of Jane’s advice could be applied by anyone who just wants to lead a richer life — but it’s particularly pertinent for those of us who fly solo. Can’t wait to try out the lamb shank (singular, of course).
