Deep in the jungle, several bodies have been discovered skinned and hanging from trees--although who or what could have done this is a mystery. Military covert specialist Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and his team are called in to eliminate the threat, but once in the heart of the menacing jungle, they discover something far worse than they could ever have imagined--the Predator--an alien which has come to Earth with cloaking technology, extensive combat skills and a desire to hunt humans for sport.
In this powerful action classic, Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as retired commando John Matrix, who is forced back into action when his daughter (Alyssa Milano) is kidnapped. With the help of a feisty stewardess (Rae Dawn Chong), Matrix has only a few hours to find his daughter before she gets killed.
Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as the most fierce and relentless killing machine ever to threaten the survival of mankind. An indestructible cyborg--a Terminator (Schwarzenegger)--is sent back in time to kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), the woman whose unborn son will become humanity’s only hope in a future war against machines. This legendary sci-fi thriller from pioneering writer/director James Cameron, and co-written by Gale Anne Hurd, fires an arsenal of action and heart-stopping suspense that never lets up.
Conan the Barbarian
Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as the legendary warrior and hero, Conan the Barbarian. When his parents are killed by a band of brutal marauders and the gang’s cold-blooded cult leader (James Earl Jones), the orphaned Conan endures a childhood of merciless slavery only to become a gladiator for the amusement of his captors. Eventually set free, Conan begins a dangerous, full-blooded quest to avenge his parents’ massacre. Now, the sword-wielding warrior must vanquish his bloodthirsty enemies in this death-defying action-adventure about courage, strength, character and the triumph of good over evil.

Terminator, Predator and Commando, forget Conan- well what I mean there is that Conan and that genre may not be everyones cup of tea. Swords and horses don't really go with the other films in this set, and it should have been replaced with The Running Man or Total Recall.
Anyhow onto the other 3 blockbusters. The first Terminator film is the greatest of them all, yep even better than T2. One of the great sci fi movies of all time. Predator is the best of that series too, although Predator 2 wasn't so bad. So all good. But then we come to Commando. Commando is a great film. However this version is wait fot it*
And it's heavily cut. Because of this I would avoid this boxset. And get the movies another way. If you want Commando uncut go for either the region 1 version or the French region 2. Both are affordable and fully uncut.
If Commando was uncut I would happily give this box set 4 stars with Terminator and Predator the real classics here. However it's hard even as an Arnie fan to give this set top marks if one of the films are cut.
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of T1; I was expecting it to look a little over-sharpened as often happens when older films appear on blu-ray, but no, it looks pretty good, noticeably better than on DVD. All in all, a very good buy.
Therefore it's kind of important that we KNOW WHAT THE HECK THE MOVIES ACTUALLY ARE that are included in this "Collection" lol! Thanks, anybody reading this, for your time. ;)
But two of the disks let it down and the two disks in question are commando and predator
1st commando its the awful cut version loads of missing violence and gore and for a film like commando it really needs those minutes or gore otherwise its a film about a guy running around and shooting at abrupt edits
Then we have predator well the film is uncut so that's OK but it is the infamous remastered version which has had a overdose of DNR digital noise reduction which makes the image look very strange and makes all the cast look like they are made of wax also the color timing is all off the night scenes are now day and some day scenes look dark its all very odd
Terminator and Conan both look fine and are great films some may complain about terminators new sound mix which alters some sound effects like gun shots ect and alough its a shame no original mono mix was included I don't have a extremely negative view of this soundmix which basically makes the 9mm hand gun sound like a 9mm hand gun in the original mono mix that used the sound effect of a revolver . I can understand both side's of this argument as tonally the revolver sound effect sounds more imposing but factually inaccurate and the 9mm sounds softer but like I say I'm fine with both sound mix's but a shame both arnt included
Other than that the films are great
