Although I have the Dangerous Ground books as ebooks, it is wonderful to have then in paperback. I love mt reader, but there is just something special about the smell of a new paper book.

As with all of Josh Lanyon's books, the characters are realistically shown, the adventure is satisfying and the progression is logical and plausible.

Although each of the four books is complete in itself, having all four together is a real treat.

Its not cheap, but you get real value for money with these stories, well worth every penny.

5.0 out of 5 stars I really loved this book 16 Feb. 2016

I really loved this book, as I love all of Josh Lanyon's writing. At first I thought this was not going to end happily, but I won't spoil the ending for you. I found the characters real and their reactions to the hurt and agony they go through.

After being away for 2 years, Mark calls home to Stephen because he's badly beaten up and a stab wound to his leg. Going home wasn't what he had hoped to find. He had hoped Stephen and him could get back together after Stephen had ended their relationships months ago.

Mark's agony of choosing between his career and the man he loves was confusing and difficult for him, more so because he felt obliged to his boss. This obligation twisted and strained their relationship, but to me it was the third person in the mix that helped make Mark's decision.

Anyone that loves Josh's books will love this one as well. Added to you list of books to read, you won't regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love This Series 25 Jun. 2013

Haven't finished all the stories yet, but the first two are excellent. Here's my review of first book.

Wow, just wow. I read this in one sitting. Loved every word, every punctuation mark. I think I licked my tablet to get all the goodness. Have I read a plot like this before, yep. Did this deter me, NO! It pushed all my buttons and I pushed right back.

This is a story about partnered Special Agents Taylor and Brandt. They are the best at what they do because they fit so well together. When they find out that they even share being gay, well that becomes the icing on the cake and the thorn in Taylor's side. He wants Will so bad and is in love with him. Taylor's track record sucks, so Will has walled himself off to the idea of the partnership becoming more. While on camping vacation with Taylor recovering from being shot, they discover a downed plane with the mystery of a casino heist wrapped around it. It's fast paced, tightly written, not a word wasted. The sex is amazing.
I give it a mountain full of stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Armed & Dangerous Vol 1 is excellent! 26 Jan. 2013

I recommend this volume to anyone who enjoys the well-written word. Each novella is put together quite nicely. I can quible a tiny bit about editing, as at least two prepositions were omitted--but didn't detract much from the stories themselves. Each stands alone well but tended--for me--to be more enjoyable as a whole. Each character is interesting, but I would have preferred more motivational information about each of the main characters. The lesser characters were quite well done. All in all WELL worth the price. Thank you Josh Lanyon!

5.0 out of 5 stars A real treat! 8 Oct. 2012

I already owned the four individual Kindle novellas that are included in this collection, but it was too irresistible to have them in print and all in one book. Will and Taylor are federal agents with the Department of State. They were work partners first, and are trying to figure out if they can or should be partners in life as well. Each story is self-contained in terms of plot, but the relationship unfolds across all four books.

After the Adrien English series, this is my favorite Josh Lanyon series. Will and Taylor are funny, exasperating, and will make a great couple if they can keep from getting killed...Highly recommended!
5.0 out of 5 stars Like an addiction 2 May 2013
By L. Ping - Published on Amazon.com

I finished the 4 stories in 2 days and reread it 3 times in a week. It's like an addiction. I hate to say this, but I like this series even more than the Adrien series, which is plenty good in itself. Taylor and Will are compatible in every way, and the chemistry they spark is incredible. Loved every story in the book though my favourite has to be the last one. Unlike the mixed feelings I had towards Jake, I totally love these two. I read from Wikipedia there should be a fifth one coming. I do hope it's true and that it can be out soon.

The book is larger and much heavier than I expected. It's tiring to carry it around and certainly impossible to bring it on holiday. However, the feel of flipping through pages while rereading it makes it worth all the while. That's the kind of fun I miss most with my Kindle.
