The game itself is very impressive, but the sellers desctiption dont mentioned that it is a german version of the game pack, and not all the included games support english or other language without some hacking or modding. Overall it is a great purchase, thank you!

THESE ARE MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE ACTION/TACTICAL/GROWN-UP First-Person-Shooters OF ALL TIME!!
This is a package of serious ambition and depth; Four full Games each with ALL their expansion packs adds up to a massive amount of Top-of-the-Class First Person Soldiering in pretty much all environments imaginable short of the north pole.
You can Drive/Fly/Pilot dozens of vehicles from a push-bike right up to the latest Uber-Tanks/ Jetplanes/Helos in a HUGE detailed and completely open world. I'm sure others have already swamped this with praise so I'll add only that this Collection tunes up the Game-engine like never before so it runs MUCH more smoothly with lots more Frames-Per-Second than in their original release condition so lower end computers may now run it, also you get an additional disc with bonus-gubbins, but most of all the fact that getting and playing through the (60+hours worth-easy) official campaigns and missions is only the start as this Game must have one of the most inventive,prolific and friendly MOD-ing scenes out there with a near infinity of free ADD-ONS/Environments/Missions etc and with an inbuilt and easy-use Mission/Cutscene editor even computer illiterates like myself can make epic campaigns with their own in-game movies.

When I first found this game I was uncertain about Whether I liked it because it was soo much tougher than normal FPSs ( Halo/BattleField/Call of Duty et al) but I realized that was because I was trying to PLAY it like those other games,( COD is a great shooter and loads of fun but think of it this way: COD is Hollywood Movie-War : ARMA (literally "WAR" in latin) is trying for the REAL THING(without all the waiting around in ditches for days obsessively tidy bed-covers and scrubbing toilet floors etc). once I realized that this was more about REAL tactical warfare where you take each mission important spot with thought and due care being always mindful to protect your(in-game) body like you would for real then I realized this was in fact the most thrilling shooter I'd ever played and each Win a real satisfaction.
each Mission a mix of huge world where YOU see fit as to how to approach each objective(not some anonymous game designer),vehicles of land/sea and air (both sides)to deal with,you can literally play them over and over each time they unfold differently.
The multiplayer has DOZENS of players on each side, mostly made up of a more mature and friendly type than you're likely to meet playing the above mentioned FPSs. But also great quiet Missions playing as a saboteur/spy etc (running alone through the woods at night with flares popping behind you and patrol cars sweeping the roads trying to find the person that's just C4'd their best choppers is DAMN EXCITING!!)
I've been playing this game one way or another now for TEN YEARS and it's still as great as it always was,getting better even, and with all those ADD-ONS you never know what new inventions will pop up online for fresh enjoyment.
This is my ALL TIME BEST PC ACTION GAME :D if you like First-Person-Shooters but feel like they're limited in scope/in the end too shallow,and are tired of games leading you by the nose as if you're a dumb beast, then DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOUR : Check ARMA X out, it's not perfect but it's as close as I've seen to acheiving it. great game/simulation

Bought this on the 22nd December not expecting to get it until after Christmas (supplier was Amazon) and you can imagine my joy to get it on the 23rd of December and that was just using standard delivery - brilliant, well done Amazon!

Anyhow, the game: I've play ARMA II for a couple of years (and have OFP gathering dust)and love it to bits so it comes highly recommended, and when I was looking to expand it I found it cheaper to buy this X edition than the two stand alones or expansions separately. I am aware it's cheaper to by on Steam, however I'm a little old fashioned and like the security of having my purchase on disk rather than rely on some third party storage.

I would say that the recommend specs are probably the minimum specs to get the best out of this game, so if you have less than a multi core system and lower than 8800GT graphics, seriously consider updating your hardware. Yes, the game is a little buggy and has occasional glitches with higher learning curve than that required by any comparable shooter, or more accurate, simulation on any of the current consoles, but the bugs and learning curve are well worth it for a deep and open game that's more rewarding than the usual fancy shooters on the console and will certainly having you spend more hours on, i.e., you get much more rewarding game time for your money. Yes one bullet can end your game, but if you have more planning ability and strategy than the average console loving teenager, you'll soon learn to live a little longer and find a game closer to virtual reality rather than a Hollywood block buster that's shallow in plot and script but full of fancy action and special effects.

Great simulation and looking forward to ARMA 3! Long live independent developers like Bohemia Interactive.

This game, the whole series, is the best game you'll ever play. With an awesome, and also helpful community (including me) that will supply you with endless mods, help and support. This game allows modding freely, and only requires the user to drag and drop the files in the directory, start up the game and play! if you're going to get mods, go to Armaholic.com
All of the games included in this package (except the latest DLC for ArmA 2 which is Army of the Czech Republic, which is a little annoying, but bearable, this package was released before its release so you can't blame Bohemia Interactive too much)But otherwise there is countless hours of fun with all the games and DLCs.
Some mods i would recommend are...
DayZ
RH weapon packs
Chinese army mod
But find some mods for yourself, there'll be something for you.
Not to mention the totally limitless editor. Where you can design your own missions for you and your friends to play, you can spawn hundreds of planes at once, firefights between multiple tanks and infantry. Not to mention you can fly and drive all vehicles in the game.
Flight physics are realistic, could be a little better in the line of physics, but still extremely good!
Realism in this game is very heavy, and planning and tactics are extremely necessary!
And extremely, amazing and unique game, well worth the price!
