Top reviews from United Kingdom

What to say? Bryan Talbot is a great artist and writer, this compendium is wonderful. Not only is this a good way of making Talbot's acquaintance as a writer if you have not done before but it has been hard to find if you read him already. It is beautifully packaged and has lots of information about Talbot and collects other articles/interviews from various publications which are of great interest as well.

Luther Arkwright is an extraordinary character in an incredible, but oddly believable, multi-verse. The concepts Talbot created, his ideas, ways of expressing them, the visual language he uses and the script, all led the way for the development of graphic novels from it's moment of publication.

This is exciting, thrilling, beautiful, intriguing, challenging and worth every moment of anyones time.

Yes! If you love comics and have never read The Adventures of Luther Arkwright, you are in for a treat. Its Jerry Cornelius for the 80's.
Justifiably classed as groundbreaking, I hold it in the same ranks as Dark Knight Returns, Watchmen, Sandman, etc.
The only downside of this huge tome is that it doesn't have the 'Arkeology' comic from the original run in it, which had loads of fascinating sidebar information. Still it looks grand on the shelf

Great art and ideas, but I really had no idea what the hell was going on during most of the story.
