Great sound quality. It's digitally remastered. It includes Bouncing, a solid album track from their second album "Set". It also avoids popular singles and keeps with good album tracks like Who Can Stop The Rain, Day After Day and Perfect Day, the latter being a wonderful piece from their 1987 Close To The Bone album. All in all, it's a TT CD and has great songs on it. You can't go wrong. The Thompson Twins were probably the best electronic music act, making wonderfully layered music, with moving melodies and sharp lyrics. Their music is timeless.

Arista are just laughable. They own the rights to a superb 80s music act, and completely fail to remaster and re-release their back catalogue, and instead release compilation after compilation, using the same old tracks, usually in the same old order, with minimal liner notes and the same photo on the front. You're better off with the April 2003 "The Greatest Hits", however, this one does have some merits. Firstly, great sound quality. I just wish their record company wouldn't keep selling them off for some quick cash. TT forever!

HASH(0x99dc3630) out of 5 stars Low-brow of the supposed "greatest hits" 23 July 2001
By Jon Rydin - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
From the Arista "what were they thinking?" files, here comes a collection that was only released to make an extra buck or two. The lone track that is hard to find on CD is "Bouncing" (from the "In the Name of Love" album). All the rest are on other "Greatest Hits" packages... or throwaways that most fans own anyway.
If you're looking for the BEST compilation of Twins hits... try the far more superior "Love, Lies, and Other Strange Things".
This CD, unfortunately, will not even please the most hardcore of Thompson Twins fans.

HASH(0x971aef9c) out of 5 stars Interesting, but.... 27 Dec. 2005
By VertigoXpress - Published on Amazon.com

One of the numerous Thompson Twins compilations floating around out there, this one is one of the only ones that plays like somebody's Thompson Twins mix tape. It's unusual to see "Day After Day" included on a greatest hits comp, especially because it really IS one of their best songs, and wasn't a single. "Emperor's Clothes" was an album track too, although the fact that it's not one of their greatest hits arouses suspicion. Ditto for "Bouncing", a track off their 1982 album "Set" (released in the US as "In The Name Of Love"). They even delve into "Close to the Bone" territory and dig up "Perfect Day", even though "Get That Love" was the single. The inclusion of some halfhearted liner notes doesn't help to make the case for this collection, and the packaging seals its doom...a xerox-machine combination of the Thompson Twins and a brick wall. Eccch.
HASH(0x980d4b08) out of 5 stars Thought they were good! 26 April 2009
By RJ - Published on Amazon.com
Well, initially I wasn't too familiar with the thompson twins music! I never realized that they were the group that sang Hold Me Now. I always thought it was Gensis or Duran Duran. Anyways, I found most of there singles to be the perfect 80's pop sound. Which is something that I love. They def. reminded me of The Cars! I really love that great 80's synth pop/rock sound. I thought some of the stand out tracks were. Were Bouncing,King for A day, and Perfect Day. I really think that the Thompson twins are really underrated as far as 80's music goes. This is def. a great pop group to check out.
