A good yarn. Saw an interview with the CIA guy who actually went in to do the job and so I decided to get the film. Obviously Hollywood has used a little artistic license here in order to increase the entertainment value but I enjoyed it and will keep it and watch it again sometime.

Great film; serious subject treated very well. And there was humour, though the jokey adjoinder could have been improved with the words "...like yourself", which would have been more topically up-to-date than an obvious swear word. Bought a copy for someone else as I enjoyed it so much, but unfortunately there was a fault and halfway through it kept going back to the beginning, so they never got to see the end. It was such a good ending too!

Superb popcorn-munching edge-of-your-sofa thriller.

It just shows that a great film like this does not need an unnecessary sloppy romance to fill it out.

It stays on the subject matter with skilful direction driving a riveting plot.

Not in the same league as Bridge of Spies. The acting and characters were quite shallow but there was some tension created as to whether or not the 6 Americans would make it safely back home.

So much better then I expected. Based on true events. Actors suited the roles. Humour in there too.

Boring!! The film plods along at it's own pace happily letting that snail take the win by several lengths. Bought it on principal that The Town was good and Mr Affleck directed that too. However, where The Town had plenty of action, Argo has nothing but a lot of long faces and beards. Wouldn't watch again.
