I had read in some reviews that it didn't fit well with the smaller tablet (8 inch. G9). But it fits perfectly in my case!
The only problem is that it is becomeing almost impossible to find. I monitored Amazon for months before a shop had one on stock...
It fits perfectly in my Archos G9 80. Just remember to switch it on in the menu section.
The device is not locked to any network, but did come with a Vodafone sim card, which I never used.
I'm using it with a Three Network sim card, but it works just as well with my Orange sim card.
It worked straight away with my mac, loading all the software up.
I highly recommend as you can share your same sim, without having to tether...
Have used it with Archos 80 G9 and a Toshiba laptop.
Withe 80 G9 it was a matter of switching on the 3G in settings, removing two covers from the dongle, inserting the simm, inserting the dongle in the neat usb port on the rear and gave it a minute or two and was connected to 3G network. Quite good coverage at my location so works well.
Inserting the dongle into usb port on my laptop brings up a window with the oportunity to install the software rquired. It ia a straight forward sequence to follow. It installs a desktop icon frm which one can use the various items available, such as email etc. It even has a meter to measure usage.
Overall a satisfying experience.
