My wife bought these after I had bought the male equivalent.

* Reusable hinged case: They come in a reusable plastic box (front is clear and rear is opaque) with holes in the back to drain water & let air in (handy in case you forget to open the box to let them dry out, though I would always store them with the box open until they have dried). My wife and I keep ours in the box to stop the lenses getting scratched. The box is hinged rather than in 2 parts.

* Comparison with diving mask: You can't use these or any similar goggles for diving to any significant depth (not that I imagine you'd want to) as they don't cover the nose so you can't equalise the pressure. You can dive underwater safely though , e.g. swimming along and then diving down.

* Fitting: Some people have complained about this style of goggle not fitting. When learning to scuba dive, I was taught this: to see if a mask (or pair of goggles) fits, place the goggles over your face *without putting the strap over your head* and push with a very, very small amount of pressure. The goggles should stay stuck to your face without falling off (I wore mine for about 2 minutes without them falling off - I then took them off. That's how good the seal is for me). If they fall off, they don't fit.

If they fit using the above method but not when you wear them then it's because you are inadvertently breaking the seal - probably either by trapping hair between the mask and your face or by having the strap too tight. A common misconception is that to get a good seal the strap should be tight - that actually makes it more likely to leak, is far less comfortable to wear and gives you great 'goggle eyes'.

Everyone's face is different so some people will find they don't fit.

After buying numerous good quality swimming goggles, I have finally found a pair that are comfortable, fit well, don't leak and as importantly don't leave big panda rings around the eyes (I hear this can become permanent damage to the eyes for the over 40's). I highly recommend these goggles.

A few weeks ago I was unsuccessfully trying to swim without wearing my standard goggles as I was fed up with 'goggle eyes' every time I wore them - not a good look for anyone! Then I saw another lady wearing these and thought I'd try them. I can only say they're marvellous. They've got a really soft latex(?) cuff and they fit really well to my face contours. The best bit is they don't dig into the delicate under-eye area that we ladies are always trying to take such good care of. They grip on with very little pressure making the strap almost redundant. I've used them 3 times so far and had no steaming up problems. After my last swim I did have a slight red mark across my forehead, but I'll try loosening them off a notch or two next time to see if that helps.

Bought these after suffering serious problems from damaged skin around the eyes as a result of regular swimming with conventional goggles. Took a little getting used to but now I can't swim without them. Still get pressure marks after swims but these are on the less sensitive areas such as forehead & cheekbones & fade much quicker. I can't say they are perfect though, suffer a little bit from fogging sometimes & occasional leaks, also create a bit of drag. But overall, they have enabled me to swim again without worrying about the damage I am causing to my under eyes & for that I'm grateful.

Dec 2013 update: Although these goggles are still far better than anything I have tried, got to note that they now leak quite a lot and fog terribly. Also have discoloured and look pretty horrible, despite rinsing after each swim. Despite all this, I will probably re-purchase due to there being no better alternative. Just wanted to note that the life expectancy of them, in my experience anyway, is just several months (that's a couple of miles swimming each week).
