If you're tightening the straps to create a seal, you're probably using them incorrectly. Just push them gently onto your face to force a little air out and create suction. They're rock-solid after that, no problem diving or doing flip-turns.
No leaks, no misting up and a good fit.
Visually you don't see the frame of the goggles when you're wearing them due to the design.
A good buy I'd be happy to recommend :)
a. Doesn't make me look like a panda (eye rings) when I take them off for about an hr
b. Don't leak
c. Don't fog up (even when they're supposedly coated with an anti-fog layer)
I've always gone for Speedo and thought I'd try something different.
There is no comparison!
These are like the Ferrari of goggles. The wide view is great for swimming, they are the most comfortable pair I've ever owned, they don't leak at all and don't fog at all either. The adjustable strap is so simple it's amazing we've been struggling with crap designs for so long. Simply pull either side and they tighten, perss a button to slacken off. You don't need the tight either as they form such a good seal, press onto the face and away you go.
I would recommend these to anyone who swims a lot. Sure they might be a few quid more than you'd normally pay but they're three times as good as any other goggle!
Unfortunately, straight from the box to the pool, these look great but they are genuinely terrible underwater. I've tried some other pairs (belonging to friends) and the visability is crystal clear so i know it's not my eyes or the pool! Fortunately these were bought through amazon which gives the comfort that these can be returned without having to argue with a salesperson that the water must be dirty.
The comfort factor is the result of the fact that they sit outside the eye sockets and seem to be made of a very flexible material. They are bigger than any I have had previously and this enhances vision both ahead and sideways.
I have been using a variety of other googles, including the obligatory Zoggs which seem to be the googles most leisure centres stock, amongst other cheapo varieties I have picked up for between £6 and £10. I kept losing them so went through a fair few over the year. I got into a cycle of buying cheap goggles (as I was bound to lose them eventually) and didn't really see the impact it was having on my overall training.
The fact is, I couldn't ever put in more than a couple of lengths at a time as I would have to stop and either empty of water or de-mist. It made trying to improve my swimming a much more frustrating experience overall and that kind of distraction is not what you need when you are trying to concentrate on learning!
I finally went for the Aqua Sphere after seeing the other reviews and I haven't looked back. For an extra few quid, the improvement in quality is one of the largest I have seen for any product. I forget they are there most of the time - they are very comfortable and leackage is minimal. I have even bought a second-pair in case I lose one, but I like them so much I am much more careful!
Have recommended them to friends who agree what a difference they make. Am now considering buying some of the children's variety for my young kids. Anything to encourage them to learn young eh?
I used to wear a lot of swim masks from diving as I preferred the feel and leak free nature. Now I know that I'd be happy to use these to swim just about anywhere, and I've used them for pool swimming and triathlon swimming in an open lake.
Well worth the small price.

Still the best goggles I've used, so worth paying above "average" for them. The previous pair lasted about a year of daily swimming.Published 5 months ago by Holly Fogg
