I'm an experienced and over qualified Cisco/Microsoft Server bod and have only used a mac for about 4 hours. Reading this book twice and working through the chapters while playing with a Mac I scrapped a pass in the exam. If you have little experience of general networking and computing then I think you will struggle to pass the exam with just this book. The vast majority of the questions were covered but its explanation for example of IP and networks services is quite light so you will need another resource if these concepts are new to you. It's definitely a book aimed at passing the exam rather than a technical resource so I'm unlikely to look at it again but would recommend it rather than paying out for the course.
I've been a Mac OS X user since 2004; I wanted to get certified as a support specialist and Kevin's book does the trick. The language is easy to follow, the concepts are well laid out. Overall I think it's one of the better written books on Mac OS X.
