The screen arrived in good time and was packaged well. There were a few other accessories included in the package that were superfluous to my needs but a nice gesture nevertheless. I used this to replace an iPhone 5 screen that had been shattered from being dropped, resulting in the top button and home button not working. The phone also had a faulty battery that resulted from using a car charger. So basically an unloved thing that would have cost too much to repair through Apple. I spent £76 (this includes a new battery) and 19 minutes of my time in total to refurbish this iPhone 5 back to full working order.
The screen replacement was an easy process, took all of 12 minutes to do (and I should admit at this point that this is the first time I have ever replaced a screen or tinkered with a phone). The screw drivers supplied were adequate to perform the task, although I would suggest that you magnetise the Philips screwdriver to pick up and place the tiny screws.
The phone itself had suffered a few dents and nicks in the bottom case from being dropped so fitting the new screen took two attempts as I tried to figure out the right amount of force to use to get it flush. I have read other reviews that state that some of the cheaper screens available are not the correct size and will not fit into the bottom carriage, but this one was perfect and the struggle was more to do with the small dents on the corners in the bottom carriage. It would help to file these out if one had the time and tools (and inclination).
I am impressed with the screen and the result. Perfect resolution and I am grateful that the home button now works. The button is a tad more recessed than the original, but this is so marginal that it is barely worth mentioning.
I would purchase this product again (if/when my teenager next drops her phone and requires a new screen).
