    Bought this to use with a MacBook Early 2009 on my new 1080p LCD TV, and it works an absolute treat. The colours are much more vibrant over HDMI than the D-Sub VGA connection, and it was dead simple to set up. Mac OS X detects the television and it's supported display modes automatically, showing 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p as resolution options, and I've been very impressed with it since.

    This performs adequately as an adapter. However the fit of the DVI into my MacBook felt stiff and not very positive (how very unlike an Apple connector). I think the form of the outer shield element is slightly off-spec. As a result the signal occasionally goes if I move the laptop, resulting a momentary black screen. Having said all that, I'm basically satisfied given the price, and that I'm not constantly knocking it about. If this were a presentation laptop I'd want a bit more reliability.

    I bought this cable to use with my 20" iMac to plug into a LED display through HDMI to optimise the quality. It does the job perfectly, a bit of a tight fit into the Mac so be caution not to damage anything as it does take some light pressure to get it in properly. Otherwise though, it is working perfectly and mated up with the HDMI with no problems. Would definitely recommend!

    i said it in the past & i can't stress this enough : NEET Cables are IT !!

    over the years i've purchased quite a number of cables from them to hook up my considerably elaborate computer/office space :

    8 external hard drives totalling 18TB, a AD/DA converter interfacing between my 27'' iMac & my hi-fi, an headphone amp, a Wacom Cintiq 21UX, an all in one HP printer/scanner, an APC ups, my plasma TV - you name it

    Great lead, also ordered the HDMI to HDMI from Neet as well. Can't fault Neet at all, just would have been good to know that Apple's mini DVI port does not export sound. So whilst you'll get a great picture with this lead (also need the HDMI to HDMI lead) you'll need to come up with another solution for sound. Also bear in mind if you're thinking of linking the sound using AV cables that if you have an HDMI already going into the TV it will expect that sound & picture are coming through it and won't recognise another sound source. This lead is for pre 2008 macbooks so make sure you check your port.

    I have been using an analogue cable on my 1080p monitor for a while now and was excited to get my new HDMI adaptor, how disappointed I was when the output quality was pretty awful. I was hoping to use this for working in 1080p but will have to go back to the analogue cable.

    I tried the adaptor with a few different HDMI cables and 1 monitor and 2 TVs to make sure that was not anything else causing the bad picture, but alas, it was the adaptor.
