    I have several of these. I keep them hidden in equipment, on keys, and other items I keep loosing. Recovered my house keys from the middle of a large field in long grass. Also comforting to know where my dog is, especially if I’m abroad! Batteries are cheap, available easily and last a year. Connectivity is slightly delayed sometimes. Ideal being able to play a sound. Disappointed that it tells a thief they’re being tracked if they steal a bit of equipment as it gives them an opportunity to find and discard it rather defeating the object for that particular purpose.

    Use on my keys, wallet and work bag and my current and stolen bike.

    My opinion is for lost items it’s absolutely fantastic . I had a tile device which I hated although similar to the AirTag in the way it works. Just AirTag is cheaper and much better implemented.

    These Bluetooth devices work by means of a network of people with either the tile app installed or the findMy network (most apple devices). By far the apple network is the biggest therefore making the AirTag a no brainier.

    I’m always losing my keys, wallet and the AirTag has saved me so much time in lack of less searches.
    I use to lose 15mins easily once a week searching for keys, wallets as always misplacing.

    These tags have easily paid for themselves in the fact I can actually get on with my day rather then losing time to pointless searching around.

    I hid one in my wallet, work keys, home keys, car keys, and work bag and bike.

    What I will say about using these for high value items that can get stolen the chances of recovering in my experience is slim although not impossible.

    I had a bike stolen Christmas 2021, had a well hidden AirTag buried deep with speaker removed.

    New Year’s Day I got the first ping (my guess it had been hidden in a van over the holiday).
    I then tracked the bike moving from one location in south London to another where it proceeded to ping twice daily. I drove to this location on multiple occasions even informed the police to no avail.
    I thought I would catch them with the bike.

    It was very very frustrating. I watched the thief cycling from their house to a friends house to the point they even visited a hydraulic specialist (brake problem?). I now believe the AirTag has been dumped as it hasn’t moved for the last 6months! But gets daily pings still. I expect the battery to die soon and RIP bike and AirTag.
