Although a little taller than the original Apple TV box it’s still pretty compact, set up is a breeze and the interface runs much more smoothly than the original, a pleasure to use and has become my main device for streaming services, the WiFi connection is also much more stable than the original and the picture quality and sound seems like a step up too. What’s not love love about this. Oh and I should say that while I liked the original remote control for factor the new Apple Remote is faster. Smoother and now controls the power on/off of both my tv and soundbar simultaneously which is a god send, not having to operate 3 different remotes when turning the tv on or off. The remote has a built in battery and charges quickly via USBC and the power seems to last for ages, in one year of constant use I think I’ve charged it twice and it’s still going. You can also operate the unit from your mobile phone and Siri voice button saves a tonne of time because you no longer have to manually scroll to type in what you’re looking for and it works very well.

Nearly perfect but some serious sound flaws
There’s two sides to this box. I’ve had it for over a week or so and have been using it constantly.ProsThe picture is incredible. The picture is incredible. There are so many variations of settings for picture, including holding your iPhone up to your tv screen to calibrate, it makes for a perfect visual experience.

One small con is there is no safari browser, so browsing the internet is out
Major con - if you have a Dolby Atmos soundbar, forget it. for some reason it has great difficulty with streaming Atmos content on Netflix, Prime, basically all of them. Even through eArc and hdmi 2.1. It’s a shame as it takes away from what’s a perfect streamer. You only have to look online to see most people buying it are not happy with the issues with Atmos. The work around is to set the box to Dolby 5.1, and you get superb sound. It’s just not Atmos. Understand a firmware drops long overdue.
Overall, it’s far better than the Firestick 4K in a majority of areas. The picture quality is second to none, but lacking in the sound department if you're happy with 5.1, which don’t get me wrong, is still far better than other streamers, then this is by far the best streamer out there
