A good concise humerous alphabetic summary of the main dangers survivors may encounter in the post apocalyptic world. Loved the cartoons.

HASH(0x94d95c60) out of 5 stars a fun read 22 Jan. 2014

What happens when an artist at heart goes to law school and gets trained in the art of writing as well?well hopefully it turns out as this fun little book Rob Uy has both written and illustrated. It was a fun read for sure and reasonably appropriate for kids who understand that zombies can be a fun theme rather than a scary one.
HASH(0x94d95eac) out of 5 stars The Apocalyptic Alphabet 30 Jan. 2014

To be honest, I was rather disappointed in this book ... and I had such high hopes for it when I found it for free earlier this week. (Especially after the two 5 star and two 4 star reviews on Amazon.) I mean, what kid these days doesn't have a fascination with zombies? None that I know.

The first page of the story says that it may not be intended for young children, but it's a book teaching the alphabet - and if it was intended for adults, it's worse than I thought.

When I read kids' books, I try to look at it from both the adult reading it's point of view and the kids' point of view - and both ways I didn't really find it entertaining at all. And the rhyming seemed awkward for several of the letters.

I give the guy kudos for giving this a try, but I just feel he fell sort of short.

I do want to say that the sign for the letter R was pretty funny (Where can I purchase one of those? :p).
HASH(0x94d95e70) out of 5 stars A fun and entertaining children's e-book. 22 Jan. 2014

A solid, entertaining and very fun children's e-book. Zombie nerds would especially love this, though I thought is was excellent (and I'm not a zombie nerd). I bought it for my 2 nephews (5 and 7 years old) and they really really enjoyed it! "U is for UGLY. Most zombies have pretty ugly mugs, but wouldn't you if your face kept getting eaten by bugs?" Awesome.
HASH(0x94d97180) out of 5 stars A fantastic and unique approach to a children's book 18 Feb. 2014

My son truly enjoyed this book and because there is nothing like it out on the market, I'd highly recommend it to those who are tired of the boring alphabet books out there. Definitely a fun, quick read. I look forward to seeing if there are any other books from this author in the future.
HASH(0x94d971e0) out of 5 stars Cute, Funny Alphabet Book 29 Jan. 2014

This is a cute way to get your kids interested in learning the alphabet. "Zombies aren't fun, they rot in the sun, once they bite you, you're done." Zombies might not be fun because they rot in the sun, but they are a fun way to learn!
