This is a well made aluminium carrying case that has a generic microscope shape cut out foam interior. The Learner microscope fits easily into this shape and there is also enough space for the accessories. Stocks of these are limited and represent very good value.

It's a lightweight metal case with no built in lock and a nice sturdy handle.
Mine did not come with a carrying strap and has nowhere one could attach to.
No labels or branding show on case & it has 4 little black plastic feet so you could set it down if transporting.
Both the lid & the main body of the case are lined in thick foam with a shape cut out for the scope to go in.
The microscope fits inside it snugly, so I wouldn't have any worries transporting it, but I do have a couple of issues with this case, particularly when it cost around two thirds of the price of the microscope.
There are 4 round holes in the sponge apart from the shape cut out for the scope itself (not like the picture above), but you only get 2 eyepieces to put in them with the microscope itself.
The main problem for me, is that these holes are all about twice as deep as the biggest eyepiece you put in them so you end up fishing them out after they fall to the bottom of the holes.
I'm going to have to pack them out to a better height or risk tearing the foam.
The bit of sponge that goes around the stage is already (having taken the scope in and out of the case 3 times) giving me hints it's not really up to the task of regularly putting the microscope in & out long term.
There is already a small chunk missing about the size of a thumbnail.
You could, if you had to, get the 2 llttle slide cases (hold 5 slides each) into the spare holes, but the pipette etc.. are just too tall.
It seems a shame that an expensive case (which is almost identical to cases I have received free with hairdryers in the past) for a specific microscope wouldn't hold everything that came with it.Read more ›
