Book Description

Sheila O'Flanagan is a regular on the Sunday Times bestseller lists, most recently with HE'S GOT TO GO and ISOBEL'S WEDDING, while her short story collection DESTINATIONS and reissued CAROLINE'S SISTER have raced out of the shops. This book seems to be a personal crusade by the author to try to get us accept a 58 year old woman taking up with a 33 year old man. This must be the most uncomfortable read I have ever had. There was no story to speak of and for the young former escort employee to turn out to be a billionare is just plain daft. Who is this book aimed at?? I have no idea, but maybe if you like Barbara Cartland it might be up your street.

I was really surprised to read a few bad reviews for this book, as I found it so readable and a brilliant story. My mother read it first and passed it on to me, saying I had to read it as she had enjoyed it so much. I loved the two siters and their relationship with each other. I think all the characters were very believable. I just couldn't put this book down and read it in record time. It's only the second book I've read by this author but I have just ordered a couple more. Can't wait for them to arrive.

This a typical Sheila O'Flannagan family plot and an easy gentle read which is an interesting storyline with a fairly predictable outcome. The characters are believable and as complex as any human being
The text is a little pedestrian which is fairly usual in this author's books yet in some ways enriches the characterisation. The plot enables the reader to be a fly on the wall in the life of this family and demonstrates just how much people conceal from those near and dear to them and how much parents can be taken granted at some stages of life until family foundations are rocked by unexpected events or situations. This author is a good observer of life and relationships.

This was in my opinion one of Sheila O'Flanagan's best novels. It hooked me in from the beginning, and had several twists along the way. The characters were as always interesting in their own way. Loved it. I would urge you all to buy it.

This was my 2nd Sheila O'Flanagan book - and after enjoing the first ('How Will I Know') i was very disapointed by this one. The book was by far too long! This story could have easily been told in half the text. I didnt really like any of the characters, I found the relationship between Andie & Tom unbelieveable, (i dont want to ruin the story so i'll just say 'towards the end') and the whole story-line just seemed a bit pointless with a 'nothing' ending. I bought two Sheila O'Flanagan books after enjoying the first so i just hope the other one is better!

As an avid reader of Sheila O'Flanagan's book I was eagerly awaiting this book, and yet again I wasn't disappointed. This book was a brillient read from start to finish, and I can't help but wish that when I'm 58 I manage to meet a 33 year old god on a cruise and return home with him! The characters were both believable and likable, and you cant help but share two sister's view that anyone but him would do for their mother. If you have enjoyed Sheila O'Flanagan's other novels you'll enjoy this.

I love this author. Couldn't put the book down. Only fault I could find was there were a few errors in the Kindle version but that didn't stop me enjoying the book.
