Anthony McDonald is the author of the classic gay coming-of-age novel, Adam, and its sequel Blue Sky Adam. Among his nearly thirty other works are two life-spanning trilogies: the Seville Trilogy (comprising Orange Bitter Orange Sweet, Along the Stars and Woodcock Flight) and the Dog in the Chapel series (The Dog in the Chapel, Tom & Christopher and their Kind, and Dog Roses). He has written a thriller, Ivor’s Ghosts, which is a modern take on Dostoyevsky’s Crime and Punishment, and a comic novel The Gulliver Mob, written under the pen-name, Anthony Moylan. In a light and sexy vein is his series of twelve Gay Romance novels - titles below - and a collection of gay-themed short stories, Matches in the Dark. A further Gay Romance series is currently rolling out under the pen-name Adam Wye.
Anthony McDonald has worked in the theatre in every capacity except that of director and electrician, and taught English in Paris and provincial France. He now lives in rural East Sussex, England, among friends.
