A Taste Of Honey were incredibly talented and this CD showcases just why. Some noteworthy tracks are missing but as an introduction to their catalogue this collection serves well.

HASH(0x9a17aac8) out of 5 stars Boogie Oogie Yes 3 Jun. 2000
By ssj - Published on
Format: Audio CD
Every time I think of A Taste of Honey, the only song that comes to my mind is Boogie oogie oogie. These ladies were one of many pioneers of disco. They may not be around anymore, but for groups such as the Village people, the Bee Gees and a Taste of Honey, it's proven that disco has made a comeback. If you really want to relive the days of disco, then this is one CD you definitely don't wanna pass up!

HASH(0x9a1c727c) out of 5 stars Disco Poetry 11 Feb. 2004
By J. Reynolds - Published on
Format: Audio CD
Boogie Oogie Oogie was a bright jewel in the crown of American disco music, a work of rhythmic and lyrical poetry, the beat of a drum come to life. The triumphant "Get down -- boogie oogie oogie" takes its place among the most intense lyrics ever penned. It's as if Boogie Oogie Oogie was the Disco movement's Battle Hymn of the Republic... "There's no time to waste let's get this show on the road" calls forth with the same impact as "Mine eyes have seen the glory...", inspiring people to action. Buy this CD today. Boogie Oogie Oogie is a literal masterpiece.
HASH(0x9a1b1414) out of 5 stars THROWBACK THEATER: Divas of Disco. 28 July 2014
By D. Baker - Published on
Format: Audio CD
After Donna Summer came this duo, and they made the Disco scene pop like never before with "BOOGIE OOGIE OOGIE". After that, they never received the level of success that they reached before. Still, this is a cool compliation disc that held some songs I remember and one that I totally forgot. It has that same dancing fever pitch that I loved back in the day, and the slower tracks were melodic and smooth. All in all, these were the duo to make you move and I totally appreciate their contribution to music.
