I really enjoyed this chick lit from Amy Bratley. The characters were all well rounded and the story flowed really well. I love books involving before babies have been born and afterwards. A very enjoyable read which I found very hard to put down at the end of the day. I hope she writes a follow on or at least another involving pregnancy and babies. It reminded me a bit of Rowan Coleman's novel The Baby Group which is another brilliant book.

As a busy mum of three I find it really hard to get in to books these days but this one had me gripped from the start. I devoured it in 2 days, ignoring the housework, thoroughly absorbed in the world of the group. Refreshingly honest and sensitively written I laughed and cried, and enjoyed how much I could genuinely relate to so many of the emotions and issues raised. A great read not just for expectant mums but for all mums. I'm off to go and find what else I can read by the same author now! Thank you Amy Bratley.

This book sent me hurtling back to those early days of parenting and Amy Bratley accurately captures these moments with sensitivity and great insight. She has shown how parenting can bring very different characters together and the bonds made by these women are heart warming. There are laugh and cry moments to this gripping book.

I really enjoyed the latest from Amy Bratley. I read it in a couple of days and found it hard to put down. It made me laugh and cry (not an easy feat!) and I found the characters easy to relate to. Reading bought back lots of memories, some good, some less so, some funny, of being pregnant, giving birth and the first few months with a newborn. I would definately recommend this book, especially to pregnant women or those with young children.

I bought this book because I loved 'The Girls' Guide to Homemaking' by the same author, and I think I enjoyed this even more.
Sensitively and intelligently written with real humour and warmth, just bought another copy as a present for a friend. Highly recommend!

I downloaded this book before it was even available. I had read a review in a magazine and it sounded like a good read. I was not disappointed! Loved every minute of this book. It shows the reality of first time motherhood. Read this book you won't be disappointed.

I am not normally a buyer of 'chick lit' or books about babies to be honest, as my own children are all way past the baby stage, however i still really really enjoyed this book. I read it in a few days and it was a take in the bath with me book! It had me in tears at times, and laughing in recognition at other times. The characters are well written and believable and the plot drives along nicely without the story dragging at all. I think anyone who is pregnant, or who has young children would adore this book, and would find it a real comfort, a real friend of a book during that confusing time. But for anyone else it is still definitely worth a read! It made me wish I had joined ante-natal groups when i was pregnant, and it also made me broody, so be warned!
