Top customer reviews
Not only was it silent to the point that at one point I thought it was broken (which it wasn't) but the modular ability of it made it easier to chose which cables I was using and allow me better cable management.
The only problem I could find with it was sometimes the sleeving on the cables made it harder to bend, however a little elbow grease fixed that.
A good purchase for a enthusiast looking to future proof their system if they are only using single graphics cards.
First off its a hybrid unit that has some hardwired cables and some modular ones. Thus reducing clutter and increasing airflow. I bought this to replace a corsair TX650 which failed again for the second time in 6 months. Won't be going back to corsair even though their psu's get really good write ups.
As mentioned by the other reviewer this unit recently came out top in its power range by custompc magazine and is a well regarded unit. The PSU itself is actually made by seasonic who are simply the best in the industry. Seasonic quality and much less than a seasonic would cost.
Gives out good solid power across the rails and should easily power a good quad core system with dual gpu setup.
Packaging is basic compared to my corsair which came in a neat little bag etc but the proof is in the power and two corsairs died on me so I'm not fussed on the contents aslong as the psu works, whihc it does, very well.
Its rated bronze 80+ which is an efficiency rating and from the reviews it performs very well, even at full load.
Mine is currently powering and AMD 965 BE, an Asus 5770 gpu (soon to be 6870) 1 hard drive, 1 dvd drive and a couple of fans.
I highly recommend this psu to anybody looking at a good solid psu for a mid to low high end system.
A current "premium grade" winner from the UK's leading modding and overclocking magazine's lab tests.
I'm currently running two Gainward 4870's in crossfire plus and overclocked CPU at 4GHZ with no issues of noise from the PSU, crashes or heat.
Well worth the money.
Unfortunately I could not find the receipt or I would have made use of the long warranty.
