Annmarie Hanlon was born in Bedford, England. For the last twenty years she has lived near Birmingham, UK and has worked in marketing. Originally a languages graduate (French & Linguistics) she moved into marketing with a passion for customer services and won the Worshipful Company of Marketors' Prize for her Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma in 1991. She is currently working towards a PhD in the value of social networks for business, with a focus on B2C.
Practical and useful are tools are essential for Annmarie and following many years of delivering workshops in the UK and Ireland, she wrote Quick Win Marketing. Its aim was to deliver bite sized information on key marketing topics. This was followed by Quick Win Digital Marketing, with Joanna Akins, aimed at those wanting to better understand blogging, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn and the application for businesses both small and large.
In 2014 she wrote Quick Win Social Media Marketing, focusing more on the social aspects of digital marketing and social media networks. The book is designed as a reference for social media challenges and aimed at busy managers.
Annmarie works as an Interim CMO for selected companies, provides online marketing training and consults in digital marketing for B2C and B2B companies. She is also an associate lecturer at the University of Derby, specialising in digital and social media.
