5.0 out of 5 stars A great find! 5 April 2010
By Z Hayes - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
I found this book at a used bookstore this morning and it was in the clearance section (marked down to three dollars). It is in almost new condition and I was very pleased with my find. Anyway, this is a 1992 edition, published under the auspices of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam and the book is about 64 pages long (hardcover). There are four short chapters:
The best birthday present
From Frankfurt to Amsterdam
'Dear Kitty'
The diary was left behind

The chapters provide a brief overview of Anne's short life, but what makes this truly interesting is the numerous photographs found on each page, some of which I've not come across before (and I have many books on Anne Frank). Not having had the opportunity (as yet) to visit the Anne Frank House in the Netherlands, I found this book to be an interesting find, though it does not compare favorably with the more comprehensive Inside Anne Frank's House: An Illustrated Journey Through Anne's World. It is however worth the three dollars I paid for it and it may be worth tracking down for ardent fans of Anne Frank.
