About the Author
Mizuki Tsujimura is an award winning author originally from Yamanashi, Japan. From an early age Tsujimura was a fan of reading. Whether it was reading manga or horror novels, she devoured everything. One day she came across Fuyumi Ono's Ghost Hunt series (Del Rey Manga) and that changed everything for her. In high school, Tsujimura began writing her first novel, Tsumetai Kousha no Toki wa Tomaru, which was eventually published when she was in her early twenties. In 2004, the book won the 31st Mephisto Award. She followed that up with a handful of works that were nominated for major awards including the prestigious Naoki Prize (Zero, Eight, Zero, Seven in 2009). Her 2010 novel Tsunagu won the Eiji Yoshikawa Prize for New Authors. And then in 2012 she won Japan's top literary award, the Naoki Prize, for her work Kagi no nai Yume wo Miru. She has branched out from literature to more genre fiction as of late. Furthermore she even dabbled in some acting.
