A delightfully written tale from the African continent lavishly illustrated in a very distinct, quirky and fetching style.
Bruce Lawley is a name we will surely be seeing more of soon. Get in early and be the first to start talking about a great emerging young talent.
I love the way the story is told in rhyme, which, for a child, I'm sure would make it even more fun to read. At the end of the book there is a song that The Animazings sing together, which I am sure young children will enjoy making up a tune to.
Bruce Lawley has created a group of wonderful characters that children can fall in love with. It's a very colourful book, which will stimulate a young child's mind. It would be suitable for reading to younger children, and I'm sure older children would enjoy reading the story themselves.
There is a lot of potential, with this story and the characters, for creating a series, either in book form where the characters could go on to take part in more exciting adventures, or as a children's TV series.
I can also imagine each of the fabulous characters being made into soft toys for children.
An imaginative and educational story, brought to life with many colourful illustrations. It would make a perfect gift for a young child, the target age range being 2-6 years old.

As a mother I always used read to my children and now I find myself doing the same for my grandchildren.
I have been reading the Animazings to them and am very impressed with this delightful children's story. The characters are not only exciting but show very positive values and morals such as courage and empathy. I highly recommend this book to anyone with young children.
