This book. Where do I start?

I read this originally as fanfiction and would be glued to my computer on a Saturday morning, eagerly awaiting an update! So when I heard this was going to be published, I literally sat glued to PC again, waiting to order!

It's one of those stories that grabs you from the first moments of reading. The shy, nerdy boy, in love with the girl on his dreams who is so way out of his league...
But it's more than that.

When you meet Nathan, you can't help but fall in love with him from the offset. This adorable chap who loves to draw cartoons for a living, idolises a girl he can't have (and has made her into a comic superhero - win!) and also has cheese wiz in his fridge!
What's not to love?

Brooke, the object of his affections and star of his own comic book series is beautiful, funny, strong, very free spirited and brings Nathan's personality alive, every time she's with him. But this is where we hit the inevitable bump in the road because Brooke is in a relationship with Arnauld, head of the animation studio.

Brooke & Nathan's friendship soon develops into something more, over a joint love of animation, Nathan's exemplary woo-bilities and a boyfriend who will play dirty no matter who gets hurt along the way and you soon realise that Brooke is definitely with the wrong guy.

Will Nathan ever get his girl? Will they find their happily ever after and be able to ride off into the sunset?
With his toon army to support him, his amazing family and a superhero attitude, he can only try!

This book also comes with the added bonus of some fabulous illustrations which help to bring this story to life. I adored these and it's great to see B-Girl in all her glory.

If you are looking for a romance that has everything and will keep you grinning throughout, then you'll find it here.
I adore Ruth's story and I'm so proud to have it on my bookshelf.

A lovely 5 stars. This book was fun but had depth. Nathan is a nerdy animator, not bothered about his look, clothing. He cares about two things though, his work (cartoons) and Brooke, his inspiration from afar for his comic super heroine B-girl. Brooke didn't know he existed but comes to value Nathan in many ways. I loved reading this, it built slowly but steadily and I was fully invested in these two characters. I absolutely loved the art work, what a bonus!

I gave this book 5 stars because it totally deserved it! What a wonderful story, Ruth writes with so much feeling it pours of the pages. Nathan is a kind soul who is gorgeous and really doesn't know it,Brooke is his 'perfect' woman but she is sadly unavailable. I won't give away the plot but be sure you'll be 'wooed' there's romance and 'hotness' all in one wonderful book. :)

Its great to read a book from a male's perspective. I wasn't expecting that. Nathan is an awkward, nerdy animator that loves cartoons and comics, and he drives a Mini. I was won over instantly.

His love story with Brooke was unexpected also. It wasn't your typical boy meets girl and they ride off into the sunset. Brooke is in an open relationship with their boss Arnauld which leads to some awkwardish moments between Nathan and Brooke.

I did feel that it was a bit dragged out because I am after all a HEA girl so I just wanted it to happen already. But when the s*** hit the fan and crap was flying everywhere I knew it was time and people where going to get what they deserved.

I love how their was sketches to go along with the ones described in the text. It was unique and perfect for this novel. The quotes that opened the chapters too where amazing and fitting. It reminded me of all the cartoons I loved from my childhood. Cartoons where also mentioned that I remembered watching when I was a kid and that was a great way to get the reader to connect to these characters.

This book was seriously adorable, from the character's to the plot line; all of this book was just to cute. At the beginning of the book we meet Nathan, a nerdy artist who works as an artist animating TV shows (He is seriously swoon worthy). He also spends his free time helping out in the local comic book store, this is where he meets our leading lady Brook. Brook also works for the same animating company but in a higher position, She never really noticed Nathan until they meet at the comic book store, but Nathan sure had noticed Brook before hand, and was already harbouring a little crush on the blue eyed beauty. . .

As the two start talking and grow closer, Nathan hatches a plan to make Brook see him as more than a friend, Craziness insures. This book is the perfect summer read, with romance, cuteness and with just the right amount of drama to keep things from getting repetitive.

I loved the use of illustrations in this book, they really brought the story to life and gave it more dimensions. Ruth Clampett’s main characters (Nathan and Brook) were so charming and lovely, I was really sad when I got to the end of this book. I would recommend that you give this book a read.

Written in the first person, from the male perspective, this book really grabbed me right from the beginning. You can't help but love Nathan and it was fabulous to see that nice guys don't fail. Beautifully written and fabulously animated, this book was an unexpected treat which I will read again.
