Review

'Recommend it to your reluctant readers and get ready for them to line up for the rest of the series.' (School Library Journal)

'What's impossible to resist are the imaginative gadgets and breakneck action, which Horowitz handles with his usual assurance and skill. Expect very high demand for this.' (Booklist) --This text refers to the Audio CD edition.

This book was great! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Anthony Horowitz said it was one of the hardest of the Alex Rider series to write. I loved the way the book started with Alex Rider in hospital, still alive. This book was nice and long and I didn't want it to end!

Alex gets himself caught up with another very very rich man and the billionaires son becomes friends with Alex. But is Drevin, the billionaire, all that he seems? Is he just rich or is there more to him than that?
Alex is has to face fire, guns and has to visit space to save many lives including his own life and Jack Starbrights - his housekeepers - life.
I recommend this book to 10 - 15 and rate it 8/10!!

My eleven year old son has read his way through this series and enjoys the adventures. Good way to get 'reluctant' readers interested.

I love Antony Horowitz and this was probably the best. Having read the previous ones the plot seems to be in a sense the same as there's always a really rich person then he gets found out to be bad. I'm not insulting it just wished he'd change it a bit. But I was gripped from the first sentence can't wait to win the next one.
