Doesn't sound like it'll last
30 April 2014
We had a Cuisinart for ~10 years, left it in the US when we returned to the UK due to power differences, and was shocked to see the crazy prices for the same item in the UK. Purchased one of these instead. It looks the part and I have no brand loyalty, so I thought I'd saved a fair few pennies.
The suction feet are a little bizarre, it shouldn't need them if balanced properly? It's very LOUD too. Our biggest concern is the grinding/clicking it makes when making dough. It really does not sound happy, even when the dough in question is stuck on the mixer thingy and isn't being dragged around with friction in the bowl. That suggests the motor is weak and under powered. Time will tell.
But then it's at least a third of the price of a Cuisinart. The supposed £200 price would be ridiculous, £80-90 is worth a go.
