Product Description

An invaluable investment for the avid gardener, the Andrew James Cultivator lets you improve your soil without risking a bad back from hours of digging. Powerful, sturdy and safe, the Cultivator will provide years of help so you can give your garden the attention it needs.

Operation
No more crawling on hands and knees, simply line up the tiller on your desired patch of soil, squeeze the trigger and the steel tines will start to turn and move the machine forwards. Heavy and compacted soil is no match for the hardened steel blades and the soil will become beautifully crumbled before your eyes.

Full instructions are provided with the cultivator including recommended patterns to follow for best results, plus troubleshooting advice.

Uses
- Prepare soil for planting by loosening and aerating
- Create furrows for more structured planting
- Loosen soil to improve drainage and allow air to roots
- Mix organic matter into your soil to improve nutrient content
- Remove surface weeds (deeper plant roots will not be harmed)
- Churn up grass to turn lawn into flower beds or a vegetable plot

Safety
Double insulated electrical components
Sliding cable clip on handle keeps wire safely elevated away from blades
Auto shut-off prevents the motor from overheating if the blades hit a large obstacle or get tangled
Well-distanced hand grips give the user excellent control and provide comfortable and ergonomic operation
10m cable, suitable for use with outdoor extension cables
Please note you should always wear personal protective equipment when operating the cultivator

Bought this machine thinking oh well it will make weeding easier didnt expect it to be as good as a petrol cultivator HOW WRONG WAS I !!!!! Its a great machine started it on fairly light ground and it flew through it so went onto harder compacted soil no problem with that either it needed one or two passes but coped brilliantly, provided you haven't got acres of ground just a normal garden this will do all you want it to, its not too heavy either my granddaughter (12) managed it easily (with supervision of course)the machine is sturdily built and I would imagine if used sensibly will go on for years.

This product performs excellently and is great value for money. It took me under 5 minutes to assemble and is the easiset thing I've ever had to put together. Used it on quite firm ground the first time and it performed well but it was much easier on slightly soft ground. I was a bit wary because it is cheaper than most products of its kind and I thought it may not be very good but not at all. The best gardening product I've ever bought and I wish I'd got one long ago.

Bought this to help conquer the garden . This item arrived quickly by express delivery as requested(one working day). Built up in 10- 15 mins. Started on hard packed soil . This item does not have enough weight to cut through the top crust so had to fork soil into maybe 6 inch clods. Then put cultivator onto it and the fun really started. Hard heavy clods were turned into lovely crumbled soil amid the carnage under the machine. WARNING !! when you start this unit up hang on tight because it will jump and buck due to the direct drive and 1000 watt moter. After using this item for about a week i suspect the first thing to go will be the frame nearest the motor. i say this because i have found the best way to dig deeply into soil is to tilt the item from side to side but this puts strain on the frame bars which i think could do with being heavier. When the machine is at full tilt it churns soil over at a high rate . I bought this item to do a heavy hard job and so far it has been very good. The conquest goes on .

Excellent service on this item. Delivered in a box for self assembly. Easily assembled by a non diy person in around 30 minutes. Not as heavy as i anticipated but on first trying it did the job as stated on the box. Soil needs to be previously dug for the item to be most useful. Works best when pulling towards you. It naturally wants to pull forward so some muscle needed to keep it still in order to dig in. Ideal for fine tilling veg plots and flower borders prior to planting also keeping weeds down on dug plots.

Works as expected, I'm used to bigger motor powered m/cs, but with bad back can't use one. Being very light this very easy to move and use, but jumps about on hard ground, once the tines can get under the crust its easy. This m/c works as well as a small petrol powered one,did in an hour what would have taken all afternoon by hand

I found this equipment amazing. I had not done gardening for a long time due to sore back. Half an hour of using the cultivator, my dirt is all dug up and plants planted. I would recommend it to anybody, if you need dirt dug up, it will do the trick.

Hmm not sure about this product. Firstly the good things - it seems well designed and quite strongly constructed (although as the handle is in 2 parts it is perhaps not as rigid as it should be). It's not as noisy as I'd expected and the tines are strong enough to survive hitting large-ish stones without any damage. Now the bad things - it's no good for digging up the lawn. You really need to dig it up first, which sort of defeats the purpose of this machine really. Cleaning it up afterwards is a pain, especially as the tines do not rotate once the power is cut off. The design means that it is self propelling so controlling it takes some practice (I find it easier to drag it backwards or hold it in place so it buries itself a bit). You can certainly tell which bits of your garden have been treated to this machine but my wife wasn't happy with the results and made me do it again with a fork which was much better. It is basically a super dooper rake, fun to use and I also suspect that it is as good as any other similar product out there. One for titivating an already dug up area and not really suitable for creating a vegetable patch or flower border from scratch. Having said that, I've only used it once at the end of winter so it might perform better with less muddy soil. For now though it is best to dig up a new area with a fork and then use this to break it up further. I'd never heard of the company before but would certainly consider a mower or a strimmer from them when I come to replace my old ones as it is well made and seems more robust than Flymo, Bosch or Concorde products.

Easy to assemble and use. Completed a job that usually takes half a day in under half an hour, thus leaving time to do other things and avoiding a stiff back. Would recommend this machine to anyone who finds digging with a fork hard graft. Very pleased.
