Bought this exclusively to make Jerky and Biltong and to that end its first use has been a success.
PROS
-Easy to set up, use and clean
-Quiet fan
-Loud timer alarm
-Versatile tier system
-Works!

CONS
-Uneven heat top to bottom so uneven drying times. 3 tier use seems optimum.
-Annoying timer controls. Starts at 12 hours when you turn it on and has to be cycled like an old fashioned clock with a single button through 48hrs to get down to 3-4hrs for normal use. I guess an up and down button or dial is too much to ask for.

OVERALL
Good for the money, lots of usable drying area. If you are using it every day the timer might be an issue though. Use a separate alarm, most phones and ovens have one. The uneven heat means you should probably monitor what is going on until you get used to it.

I love it, I use it a lot for drying uneaten fruit so it doesn;t go to waste and also for preserving all kinds of things. Even used it to dry flowers and petals.

Does what it says on the tin, my reason for knocking a star off is that when you have a full set of shelve with drying there is a distinct difference in the top and bottom shelves so you can have some fruit which is either too dry or too wet. You just have to do it in smaller batches or keep the top shelves on for a couple more hours.

Fantastic product, have only used in dehydrating natural treats for my dog so far as I'm awaiting an instruction book

As its square it sits back against the wall, the digital timings and temperature are very easy to set. I've left running for 24 hours and its all worked fine

It takes a bit of time to get used to especially knowing how it is supposed to feel when dried out, not much help in that department from the information that comes with the product. But easy to use product and nice. Use parchement paper not grease proof paper on the trays as items dont stick.

works well, dried some apples before. thickness of the slices of apples creates different textured and chewy-ness? of the dried fruit.
tried kale as well. it works! i dried some vegetables to make them last longer and then use them in broth for noodles , etc.

THIS IS THE BEST!!! absolutely love love this. I make homemade biltong and this is by far the most convenient well shaped dehydrator. i would definitely recommend to buy the non stick sheets and place one on the bottom shelf so all drippings go on this.

Best used in an outside garage or shed as the steam could mist up kitchen windows. Made Beef Jerky as a treat for the dog and they worked out fantastically, in fact I ate one and they taste great.
