Fantastic coffee maker for the price. Good quality product that makes great coffee once you have experimented a bit with the strength and amount of water required (go for double the amount of cups you want).
1.0 out of 5 starsDo not buy. Awful product and awful seller.

Didn’t work - poor build quality. Had an issue with only pumping through about 20% of the water requested. Requested a return. Seller didn’t respond. Awaiting for amazon to do an A to Z claim. Do not buy.
Although we’ve only had this machine for a couple of weeks it’s used daily. It’s easy to use and set up and makes a good cup of coffee from beans or powder. The grinder is also easy to operate. The machine is very quiet and appears well made. Good quality machine for the price.
I feel mean writing a review here - I have nothing against Andrew James and have bought and am happy with some of their other products. But this coffee maker looks like a re-badged Igenix IG8225. If it's not then I apologise. But if I'm right - and other customer feedback here suggests I may be - then my experience with the Igenix version may be relevant here also.
It works fine for a couple of weeks (really good coffee) and then starts producing only 2 mugs of coffee no matter how many you have selected. I'm just returning my second Igenix machine.
Amazon has been great taking the returns and will refund in due course. But Igenix not great or very helpful. Not sure Andrew James will be able to to do any better in answering questions as to why it's happening.
Disclaimer: I live in Scotland so very soft water here, I've never had to descale anything and clean this with Milton sterilising fluid.
Anyway, it's a great machine. 2 cups fills a normal mug, and 4 for my thermos travel cup. I set the timer during the week so I'm woken up to fresh brewed coffee. Usually use Taylors Italian Roast beans, also used Lavazza Rosso, some Pelican Rouge and Matthew Algie when I can get them. Makes really nice, consistent coffee and keeps it warm for 45 mins or so on the machine.
Only small gripe is that the water tank isn't that easy to clean, I got some mould in it (my own fault as I'd dropped a bean in there) and had to strip it down a fair bit to get in to the corners, a removable tank would be a nice future feature. A couple of times the grinder has jammed which usually means having to use a wooden kebab skewer to scrape it out from below whilst the grinder is running, as the door is only open then and can't be opened manually.
I bought this machine a couple of months ago after reading the good reviews, at first it worked fine now it doesn't when in brew mode the water trickles through, i have descaled the machine, again it worked fine for a couple of weeks now it needs descaling again. so now i have thrown the machine to the back of the cupboard as its driving us all mad.
