Fantastic coffee maker for the price. Good quality product that makes great coffee once you have experimented a bit with the strength and amount of water required (go for double the amount of cups you want).
1.0 out of 5 starsDo not buy. Awful product and awful seller.

Didn’t work - poor build quality. Had an issue with only pumping through about 20% of the water requested. Requested a return. Seller didn’t respond. Awaiting for amazon to do an A to Z claim. Do not buy.
Very pleased with purchasing and delivery process ✅ So far, coffee (both bean to cup and ready ground) has been excellent 👌 Must be said however, this is only Day 3 of AndrewJames Bean-to-Cup experience .... time will tell more ... 🙂 So far, so good nonetheless 👍
Husband had seen a very expensive bean to cup machine at a customers house and hinted that he would like one for his birthday. As I was not prepared to spend a fortune, I began to look around. The reviews for this machine were very helpful and we are not disappointed (of course I get to share his present!) Easy to use, easy to clean and versatile because can use either beans or ground coffee and can make just one cup or a whole jug full. Always pleased with any AndrewJames product.
Avoid - the units are faulty. Believe the other 1-star reviews, there's some sort of production fault that means they only make 2 cups or so, no matter how full of water it is.
There are two stickers on the unit to make you think it's your fault - one saying to descale it (even when brand new) and another saying to only use room-temperature water which is nonsense because you want to use water fresh from the tap, and even if you use room temp water it still doesn't work. Went through another few steps with customer services with more excuses ("the metal arm underneath needs to be all the way across" etc etc) before they agreed to take it back and issue a refund.
Save yourself time and money and don't buy these coffee machines, there's clearly a serious fault with them and AndrewJames should be embarrassed that they're still selling them on Amazon.
I bought this as a gift but after 3 uses it stopped dispensing 12 cups and only gave 2. I contacted AndrewJames who asked me to descale it and that should solve the problem. It didn't but after 3 uses I wasn't surprised. I returned it for a refund.
I bought this back in 2014 as a replacement for a Cuisinart Grind n Brew that was over double the price. The AndrewJames coffee machine works superbly; the burr that grinds the beans is good quality (metal) and you can set the strength of coffee AND the coarseness of the grind.
Any machine that grinds beans is going to be noisy but this machine is no louder than anything else. In fact is is quieter than my previous Grind n Brew- I suspect because the burr/mill is in the centre of the machine and insulated by the beans above. I must admit I use paper filters in it as it is far easier to lift the whole paper filter out afterwards and dispose of it in one go.
Good beans make great coffee and this machine does justice at good value.
My concern is that after about 10 months my first model started behaving oddly with water trickling out and dispensing the wrong amount of water - 4 cups programme would only produce water for two. AndrewJames replaced this really promptly at no cost as it was within warranty.
Now this week after less than two years the second device has done the same thing and now only dispenses one cup of water. Considering my options. There are few good coffee machines with grind as a feature at a reasonable price, and whilst this is the best I have found, I am seriously deliberating whether I buy a third.
I receives this machine last Christmas as a gift. At first I thought it was an okay machine, but soon realised that it is fairly low quality.
The non-drip feature doesn't stop coffee from coming out when you move the jug, so coffee spills onto the heatplate and burn on.
The grinder is extremely loud and is not very pleasant to hear first thing in the morning, one good point would be the timer feature. If you set this to brew when you want to be up, I'm sure the noise of it grinding will wake you!
Finally, the coffee dispenser that opens to fill up the filter clogged with coffee, which meant that the machine would no longer work. Upon contacting AndrewJames, we were told to fix it!
I feel mean writing a review here - I have nothing against AndrewJames and have bought and am happy with some of their other products. But this coffee maker looks like a re-badged Igenix IG8225. If it's not then I apologise. But if I'm right - and other customer feedback here suggests I may be - then my experience with the Igenix version may be relevant here also.
It works fine for a couple of weeks (really good coffee) and then starts producing only 2 mugs of coffee no matter how many you have selected. I'm just returning my second Igenix machine.
Amazon has been great taking the returns and will refund in due course. But Igenix not great or very helpful. Not sure AndrewJames will be able to to do any better in answering questions as to why it's happening.
Hadn't really heard of AndrewJames but noted that the machine was significantly cheaper than other similar types. I took a punt and bought this product just under two years ago and happily used it every day, at least once. The machine eventually encountered a fault where the coffee grinder jammed up. I contacted AndrewJames and they recommended some actions. When they weren't successful they honoured the 2 Year Warranty by sending me a brand new machine without any fuss. Would absolutely recommended this product and top marks for the integrity of the company regarding the warranty. Well done!
We loved this machine, I say loved because today after two and a half years regular use, the grinder failed. It does need to be de-scaled regularly to ensure the water flows completely through the filter as we had a few issues with cups selected not filtering enough. We will continue to use ground coffee but are considering a replacement as AndrewJames have offered a 10% discount.
