One of his paintings "Karagiozis" now permanently hangs at the prestigious National Cyprus Folk Art Museum in Nicosia and "N'oublie Pas Paris" in memory of the Bataclan atrocity; it is displayed at the French Embassy in Nicosia. Andreas, was born to Greek parents in a small village in Cyprus and began painting at a very young age. At the age of 12 he moved to the UK where he finished his studies at Holland Park Comprehensive in London. While at school, he was accepted to enter the esteemed Royal Academy of Music in London but which he declined. Those experiences of his tender years, helped to develop his character for what he is today. Without a doubt he's a complex man with an inquisitive mind that always aims for excellence in everything he does. He is credited with a UK Patent holder; a thinker, an environmentalist and an advocate for Human Rights, Equality and Rule of Law. As a Canadian and a British citizen he lived most of his adult life in Vancouver, British Columbia including London as well as Cyprus. Married to Eva he now spends most of his time living in the UK and his studio in Cyprus, painting works of art, writing novels and press articles.

I really enjoy Andreas Chrysafis art, and am lucky enough to own one of his paintings myself. His art isn't pretentious in any way, just full of beautiful colours and a story, with his passion for Cyprus, Hellenic history, the environment and humanity showing in every picture. It really opens your imagination whilst giving you a lesson in Hellenic history. There is a really strong folk tradition that runs through his work that I love, and if you are a regular visitor to Cyprus and love it like I do, you will really enjoy the history that Andreas gives you in this book for each painting.
