About the Author
Shelly (SM) married her husband 28 years ago and has four daughters and two grandchildren. She always knew, her life would make a good story...or soap opera but finding or making the time to write was always the issue. In April of 2014, she sat down in front of her computer and started to write. Through lots of tears, she wrote her first book that had a large part of her life in the story, that book was Stolen Innocence. Now she finds that she has to write, this is her outlet, her sanctuary, and in every book she writes there’s always part of her life written into it.

Have you ever found the love of your life and then lost them over a misunderstanding? Have you ever had a dream just at the tips of your fingertip and it slips between them, lost forever. Have you ever had a dream ripped out of your hands only to be given another dream a dream you were never expecting. You never think you will love again, but life thinks differently. Then life throws you two more curve balls.
All Charlie ever wanted to do is play softball in college. She had worked all her life for that one dream and she finally made it. The only thing was it was on the other side of the country. So, she did what she needed to do to keep her dream alive. However, when she refused to party and drink with her teammate she was accused of not being a team player, but there was no way she would do anything to jeopardize her scholarship. And for the first time in her life she met someone, her first love, her soul mate.Read more ›
I liked the storyline but I loved the main characters.
Charlie and Zain were just too easy to fall for, really, their story was one that I couldn’t help but get invested in.
In this we got to see what these two young people had been through and what had taken them to the position they were both in now.
College is never easy but Charlie has a team that she has to fit into. Zain on the other hand has nothing much to fit into at all, he certainly doesn’t fit into his parents life anymore, so he is travelling and for the time being he has landed on Charlie’s college campus.
The two of them strike up an amazing friendship, one that sees the two of them becoming the very best of friends, but that friendship is ruined when a misunderstanding has the pair of them walking away.
But is that it? Well I don’t think so!
Years later they are thrust back together, but I thought that so much has changed that I wasn’t exactly sure there was a chance of them being even friends let alone anything else.
Charlie is no longer on her own, she might have a child but there is no partner, it is a tough situation for her.
Zane has settle into a career that has him busy but it is Charlie that he is ready to get his hands on, not a computer keyboard.
So now we have the situation that neither of them had ever anticipated, they have to try to forgive and forget the events of the past, and endeavour to forge a happy ever after.
I loved the build of the story, the lilt the prose took and the time that the characters were given to show that they had the will to make what they wanted work.
They were both engaging and endearing, they gave as good as they got but accepted their weaknesses as well as their strengths.
A snappy read that will have you reaching for the tissues on more than one occasion.

Carson (Zane) and Charlie (Char) meet when Charlie gets a full athletic scholarship and Carson is “just travelling around” when they land on the same campus. They become inseparable and spend all of their free time connected at the hip. That is, until a mutual misunderstanding happens. – they separate only to meet up 5 years later through Charlie’s roommate Raven (minor character in Never Forgotten Love and primary character in Loving Redemption). Charlie is now a single mother and Zane is a computer programmer. This is where their story is interwoven with the characters in both Never Forgotten Love and Loving Redemption so perfectly you do not feel as if you have missed any part of the individual storylines.
This book is a must read.
However, when Charlie refuses to party and drink with her teammates, she’s accused of not being a team player. There is no way she’d jeopardize her scholarship. Charlie will walk away from anyone who can ruin her dream.
Carson is on his own, as his parents have other priorities that don’t include him. He is a genius, and after graduating at sixteen, he decides to travel the United States. He’s never believed in relationships—who needs the drama? He’s a manwhore through and through. That is, until he runs into Charlie. She’s different; she’s special, and he knows it from the start.
They become inseparable and spend all of their free time connected at the hip. That is, until the misunderstanding happens. The one thing that throws a curve ball into the mix.
Will Charlie’s dream slip through her fingertips, or can she catch the ball?
Wow! Great Read! Char & Zain's characters were very well written! This book had me on a bit of an emotional roller coaster! I loved it from the first few pages! This is a must read!
