Needs to be read by political theorists nowadays...as one original and most influential author... still or perhaps even more relevant, these days. Who dares to disagree?

I disagree an awful lot with some of the reductionist arguments he gives, though he does provide a nice attempt at producing a secular ethics.

This is a brief, but very powerful, manifesto for anarchists. Kropotkin discusses the topic of ethics from both a philosophical and a scientific standpoint. He claims not only that the state and the church are unethical; they are the enemies of human nature and virtue. You should read this if you are an anarchist, or even if you're just skeptical of modern social institutions.

Well thought out study of human complacency. It is also very short. He sites several other quotes from other inspired thinkers. Over all makes you analyze your life.
