The Comprehensive Sourcebook for Today′s Trainer

In this new book from the author of e–Learning on a Shoestring and Better than Bullet Points, Jane Bozarth has gathered a wealth oftools from leading training practitioners. Anyone from the interested manager to the experienced training professional can depend on this book when designing or delivering training. This single volume contains all the valuable tools of the trade: worksheetsforassessing training needs and writing goals and objectives; checklists for organizing the venue; and tools for analysis and structuring content. This remarkable resource also includes instant evaluation and measurement surveys, which can be customized freely from the companion web site. In addition, Bozarth includes a wealth of invaluable advice for trainers at all levels on how to makeeffective use of props, staying energized, marketing training programs, and other things they don′t tell you in train–the–trainer courses.

Advance praise for From Analysis to Evaluation

"Looking for the ultimate training cookbook? This is it. Jane Bozarth hits another home run with this comprehensive, practical, and easytouse guide. It should be on every learning professional′s desk."
Ann G. Cobb, managing partner, North Carolina Office of State Personnel, HRD Group

"Jane Bozarth asked trainers and instructional designers to share the tools of their trade. The result is a wonderfully useful nuts–and–bolts compendium of practitioner–developed tools, worksheets, templates, and job aids. I really like the editable versions included on the CD readers can customize tools to their own needs, making the book doubly valuable."
Karl M. Kapp, Ed.D., professor of instructional technology, Bloomsburg University, and author, Gadgets, Games, and Gizmos for Learning

"From Analysis to Evaluation: Tips, Tools, and Techniques for Trainers picks up where primers on instructional design leave off. If those other books tell you instructional design ought to happen, this terrific book tells you how it really does happen. Jane Bozarth has compiled tips, techniques, and worksheets from a large variety of trainers to help with just about every aspect of making a training program happen. The resources rooted in the real world, practical, witty, and always insightful and appreciated. Will be a great tool to share with my instructional design students. But to be truthful, I′m using them myself first. A must–have for any serious training professional."
Saul Carliner, associate professor, Graduate Program in Educational Technology, Concordia University, Montreal

The title clearly states that this purchase has an accompanying CD that the purchaser can use to produce their own versions of various forms and tools etc., which was an important element in my purchase. When the book arrived there was no CD and having contacted Amazon Customer Services I have been informed that "that as an online retailer we do not stock individual parts and therefore we are unable to send parts alone from a set" - given the purchase was supposed to have a CD I am not sure what Amazon have done with them all.
The book is great but if you want a copy with the CD I suggest you go directly to Wiley.com and buy direct

This is an excellent book. Written by a professional who has been there and bought the tee shirt. Massive amount of examples. It will pay for itself in time saved in one course alone.

I really like the idea of a cookbook of practical training tips and Ms. Bozarth is the best person to edit it. You can tell that people who contributed their ideas and materials are real working trainers and their stuff has already been useful for some of my classes. Pair this with Ms. Bozarth's other two books and you have a great training library.
